I hear you, Emma! I like bananas flavour, but I don't enjoy their texture at all, especially when they are ripe! Besides, they quickly turn brown when they are peeled. Maybe a way to put bananas in this dessert could be adding them, pureed, into the custard? The custard you made looks delicious, btw. I will use that for some other banana free recipes

That's great Emma I really loved it so I'll give it a try and enjoy it with my Family! You are the best Pastry Chef Emma. Thanks for sharing my friend! Congratulations! I wrote my comment for assorted cupcakes the other day but you didn't answer me. I explained the reason I was late to you you can see it if you like!

Some have used fresh lemon juice
on their banana slices to prevent
or slow the browning. Banana Pudding
is great chilled or immediately after
making. Instead of ' nilla wafers, I've
used short bread cookies, they work
great.

LMAO, I don't like bananas that much so I wholeheartedly agree with banana pudding without bananas, I even tried it with chocolate biscuits and it tasted just as delicious as the one with plain vanilla wafers.
Lovely recipe btw though

I have to say is that it looks so delicious. It's so creamy, comforting and you can make this on different occasions or if you're craving some. Your recipes are so wonderful Emma and I just love watching whatever you come up with.

I like it with bananas when it s first made but after it s been in the fridge and the bananas get stiff and start to turn dark inside the pudding, then it s a resounding NO for me.
