Tres Leches Chocolate Cake Recipe Tres Leches Cake & Chocolate Cake combined into 1! Mocha Tres Leches Cake: Chocolate Tres Leches Cake: 100 gr Cake Flour ( 1/2 cup + 3 tbsp) 40 gr Unsweetened Cocoa Powder ( 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp) 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 150 gr Sugar ( 3/4 cup) 3 Egg Yolks 3 Egg Whites 130 gr Hot Milk ( 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp) 70 gr Butter ( 2/3 stick) 30 gr Chocolate ( 50% cocoa) ( 1 ounce) Chocolate Milk Bath: 120 gr Hot Milk ( 1/2 cup) 70 gr cold Heavy Cream ( 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp) 130 gr cold Condensed Milk ( If you want your mixture to be sweeter, you can add more) 15 gr Cocoa Powder ( 2 tbsp) 25 gr Chocolate ( 50% cocoa) ( 1 ounce) Chocolate Whipped Cream / Mousse: 250 gr Heavy Cream ( 1cup) 60 gr Dark Chocolate ( 50 % cocoa) ( 2 ounces) 1 tbsp Sugar NOTE: Leave the cake to soak for at least one hour. Traditional Tres Leches is served directly in its baking tray with the excess milk. You can either serve it that way, or transfer it onto a platter like I did. It's up to you, depending what texture you prefer. This recipe makes 6 portions and I used a 7 inch pan: )

Hi Emma thankssss to replying me but sorry to bothering u again I just want to ask u can I use the baker unsweetened chocolate with NO write 50% cocoa to use for bake this cake bc the chocolate I tell u have 70% cocoa is not for baking, it like the regular we eat for snack is it ok too or I have to use the chocolate for baking? Please can u tell me know n many thanksssssss

I finally made this cake and served it in the pan (so, I did not need to line the pan. It is wonderful, full of chocolate flavour and spectacularly moist. Hope to give you a shout out in my vlog in the future. Thank you from a true foodie who doesn-t even like to bake!

Wow, this is such an amazing idea! I haveeee to try this, thank you for sharing: D -For the mousse what if I replace the dark chocolate and sugar with milk chocolate? Would that taste fine too? Also, can I just use normal flour instead of cake flour?

I wonder why your vanilla recipe for this cake has no butter (you even explain why) and all the others I've seen have some melted butter in it. I would use a bit of a fruity extra-virgen olive oil for the lemon 3 leches.

OMGosh absolutely devine. And your joy comes through as well. Thank you for sharing. I have always wanted to make a 3 milks cake. But I was intimidated by the process of it. Finding you on youtube has earased that.

What does cream of tarter do when baking? It is in a Christmas cookie cut out cookie recipe that my mom use to make, and I see Gemma said lemon juice or cream of tartar in the beginning of this video. Thank you

I just finished making this cake. Mine took about 15 more minutes to bake. It's looking good, I'm bringing it to a dinner party with my Mexican friends tonight. we'll see how it goes over.

No doubt good recipe -But You have wasted the cake sides and that's not a good message to viewers (may be you have used that later but I understand whatever was in video)
