This traditional, old-fashioned Korean candy comes with a fun challenge: eat the candy without breaking the design in the middle, and win a free ppopgi! Full recipe coming very soon, and special thanks to Anthony for helping me and doing marketing for our ppopgi. In the meantime, check out Anthony's channel, The Needle Drop:

I remember going to the park as a child and eating copious amounts of this. It was amazing. The park was like a mini casino for kids where vendors would be lined up and kids would belly up and try their luck at poking the shapes out without breaking it. The vendor would give you a pin and you'd try and cut the shape out by poking tiny holes along the grooves of whatever shape was pressed into the candy. You could buy all sorts of sizes and shapes. The more intricate shape, the bigger the prize.

I got a severe skin burn while making this at home. That was more than 10 years ago and I still have scar from that. Be very careful handling hot molten sugar everyone! Make sure all skin is covered and don't stir too aggresively.
