These kkwabaeggi, or twisted donuts, were one of my favorite after-school treats when I was a kid, something you can still find in many Korean bakeries and being sold on Korean streets today.

we had a very similar donut here in the Philippines. i just forgot what it's called. i believe it has the very same process when it's being cooked here but I've been eating this since I was a kid in our province. the only difference is that we only use sugar for dusting. i might try cooking this with cinnamon and see how it goes. :)

I made these Donouts today. Turned out to be amazing. After the first batch, i understood what you meant by pinch the tips together it unfolded while frying. But tastes great. Thank you soo much for inspiration.

A fan from South Africa we make this as well but we let it set in a cold syrup when it is still hot we call them Koeksusters translated to Cake sisters.

I made some today it took me longer than I expected almost 24 hours from start to finish.
