When I was raising my children alone I used to make these simple tacos and always added mashed beans to the seasoned meat. It not only made the meat go farther but it also tastes really good. I came to prefer the meat prepared that way.

My stepmother is Hispanic and that s how she made her tacos and if she wasn t using homemade flour tortillas, she would buy boxed tortilla shells. They were still good!

As a gringo, I grew up with ground beef tacos. I still make them occasionally and they bring back memories. (Not near as good as asada tacos though) LOL.

My easy taco filling is to fry the ground beef with chorizo. Fast and easy. If you like spicy then use the hot chorizo.
