I love in-N-Out double doubles but I am not a fan of the fries. However when I order them extra crispy animal style they are a strong go. My daughters and I go once a week to in-N-Out after their music lessons and order a few double doubles and we sit in the car and ppl watch while we eat. Their sauce is similar to thousand island dressing but it’s not the same. I am going to try this recipe out. I do have a crowd of in-N-Out connoisseurs I am cooking for so I hope this recipe satisfies them. Thanks for posting this clip

The wonderful thing about In n Out is that it tastes homemade, that's why making at home kinda works but of all fast food chains they are still priced moderately. The whole point of In n Out to me is to eat a good burger, fries, I usually share, shakes are great, is to not have to cook but when I do make them this way anyway, I've never thought they tasted like In n Out still yummy but not the same unfortunately.

Great video. I live in Peoria, IL and we do not have that franchise here. But I've heard a lot about it.
If you run out of ideas. how about Whataburger's monterry melt and mushroom n swiss
Also, if you like red lobster biscuits. Its Bisquick with cheddar cheese. Then top it off with the used butter/oil that made shrimp scampi (ghee, garlic, onion, oregano, parsley, and shrimp juices)

How interesting I JUST whipped up a batch of copycat Big Mac sauce for burgers I’m making tomorrow. A lot of people claim is just Thousand Island, but it’s not. I wonder if I dress my burger tomorrow like yours but with the Big Mac sauce how close it would be to In-n-Out I’ve never had it, so I can’t know! I’m going to try it anyway

This video made me so hungry! I love that you bake your fries, because the fries literally have enough fat on them to get crispy. The secret to it, is just bake them long enough and remember to stir them. I'm guilty for not leaving them long enough at times, to get crispy enough. But that's on me, when I do that!

You might try oven roasting onions for many recipes. Then keep them cut and fry when needed. They're done so all you need to do is finish carmelizing them in pan. The flavor is good this way too. If you wrap burgers in waxed paper they become soft like fast food places. And if you have kids less messy.

This looks like a fantastic recipe! I’ve been looking for a way to recreate this at home since there isn't an In-N-Out near me. Since you are so great at breaking down these classic fast-food recipes, I would love to see your take on some hot and mild unbreaded chicken wings next!

This is what's called. your basic burger. I've done it for years and it does not taste like In-n-Out. Yes, it's good, but it's has the home-made flavor, not fast food taste.
In-n-Out fries are literally a hard pass for me. Deep fried thick fries are way better.

To easily clean that cast iron skillet, just cover the bottom with hot water and turn the burner back on until the water is simmering. You can then use a spatula (preferably wooden, but metal will do) to easily scrape the bits off the bottom.

There are rumors of an In-N-Out coming to our town. But your recipe looks simple and delish. Thank You Chef.
If I was going to make those onions, I would make a giant batch. There is nothing that won't taste better with those onions.

UPDATE UPDATE! IT WAS DEFINITELY DELICIOUS! I'm trying this tonight! Caramelizing is no joke 1 hour 20 mins! For two onions, I must be doing something wrong! But they do look like your version. Thank you soooo much!

The burger looks great, In_N-Out is one of my favorite, been eating them over 60 years. The size of your burger patty is way bigger than theirs (2 oz, i would bet yours has more meat than a Double Double.

Thanks for sharing your cooking talents. I would like to find two recipes: DER Weiner style chili, and egg roll wrappers. I live abroad and these items are not available.

I agree with you on the fries. They taste like pasty cardboard to me. However, some people love them. One of them being my daughter. Their burgers are decent though.

Next time swirl mustard on top of the uncooked patty in the skillet, then when u flip n add cheese, put the grilled onion on the patty. Enhances the onion flavor

You must ask for light well for their fries. So much better. Cooked and crispy. I am definitely going to try this at home! Thanks for the inspiration.

I've never had In-N-Out and I live in CA. I once attempted to give them a try, but the drive thru line was sooo long I decided to have something else.
