And here's an extract of an article research in Singapore about horseshoe: All 4 species of horseshoe crab are classified aseither near threatened or data deficient (IUCN 2010. Habitats throughout Asia are diminishing, and evidencefrom studies and local fishermen suggests thatall species, once commonly found, are in decline. They have no meat and they only kill the female crabs who has the eggs. This is the only species that survived for 445 million years and now human just want to destroy in this generation? BRING BACK THE DODO BIRDS TO GRILL THEN

Its so sad to see such a marvelous creature get eaten like this. For those who didn't know, Horseshoe Crab is a living fossil, they have been existing since 450 million years ago. Other than that, their blue blood, is very useful for detection of bacterial. It used in frequently of the medical application. We only extract minimum amount of blood and release them back to sea. Most crab is survived in this process. But its sad to see they get eaten like this for few hundred baht.

FYI did you guys know that the horse shoe crab is a prehistoric crab that were caught for their shells which were pulverized and used for fertilizers? The crab is also really important in medicine, where it has been applied for eye research for the purpose of ensuring that our medicines are free of harmful bacteria. Also, it has blue blood: D.

krabi is one of the region in southern thailand that has a big muslim population. the yam stem is also eaten by the malaysian villagers and they call it batang keladi. you can try banana stem which has a spongy texture as the yam stem. such a unique and beautiful presentation of the salad using a horseshoe crab as a garnishment.

I once had that horsehoe crab salad in Surat Thani. It was soooooooooo delicious, I never had this before. And since then I never found a restaurant that had this on the menu. Next time when visiting Krabi, I definitely will go to this restaurant. Thank you for sharing.

halal means good antonyms of Haram wc is prohibited, restricted, or not good for Islam. meaning there's no pork ing. s in it. because pork is Haram in Islam. and there is agency incharge of monitoring, approving, and certifying if food is halal or OK for Islam to eat.
