Thai Seafood at Bangpoo - DELICIOUS Crispy Fish and Sour Soup Dareen VW: If you had been here (not sure whether it's the same restaurant but definitely the same pier) 40 years ago, they were known for deep fried fish with fried salted and black pepper garlic on top. You couldn't find a parking space on the pier. I was really young when my parent would take our family out here for the weekend. We live in the States now but I had a chance to visit this same restaurant on your video a few years ago. We didn't enjoy the meal as much as you did. Perhaps we had a higher expectation but thank you just the same.

I get heartburn just watching you chow down and I might add, jealousy and heartburn do not mix How spicey is the food? My daughterinlaw is from Thailand and I would love to cook something to surprise her-any suggestions and I would love to visit. I told her I wanted to visit and she said: Why dont we go? she is so sweet. My son taught English in Thailand I keep telling him to go back. I am Greek so eventually she has to try some Greek food? she has resisted lol I keep commenting: why are you not fat?

Hi Mark, Thanks for heading over our way to Samut Prakan. The market is simply amazing and people in this district are super great to be around, really down to earth. Another fantastic video, your not just about the food but pack life into it which elevates you beyond the everyday blogger. Heading to Hong Kong next week to follow your HK Migrationology map: )

Ha I opened this video, read the title, then immediately google mapped bangpoo (while the video was paused at the 5sec point) muttering he really should put maps at the start of his videos. I find it on the map, return to the video AND GUESS WHAT. Mark - you are already anticipating your viewers' suggestions. #JediLevelYouTubing XD

Appreciate what an exceptional travel guide you are Mark. Thanks so very much for not only the wealth of information, but also your willingness in taking the time to make one feel so apart of your outings. Being allowed to join you and your family on these trips has brought back memories. Thank you, again, Mark.

My wife & I will be in Bangkok March 9, 2017. We would love to visit Bangpoo & Sala Sukjai but are concerned about the cost of taking a taxi going from our hotel Ibis Bangkok Siam on Rama 1 Road. We have had bad experiences with taxis. Is there any way to find the cost ahead of time?

Hi Mark, I've always been unsure about buying fresh food in Thailand. Say, they put the number 130 on top of the horseshoe crabs, it means the price for each kilogram? or 100gm? or else? The number always seems cheap for 1kg but expensive for 100gm, so I don't know.
