Welcome to Trinidad and Tobago and one of the things I was most excited to try when I was there were the Trinidad scorpion chilies - lab tested at 1, 463, 700 Scoville heat units - making it one of the hottest chili peppers in the world! The scorpion peppers are indigenous in Trinidad and Tobago and today we re going to try them out. Kerryann Sultan s Pepper Farm in Cunupia - Our first stop on this ultra spicy food tour in Trinidad is Kerryann Sultan s Pepper Farm, where they are responsible for growing some of the best scorpion peppers you ll find. It was so cool to see the source and how they grow. Bertie's Pepper Sauce - Hot pepper sauce is one of the joys of eating food in Trinidad and Tobago and so it was amazing to see the process of one of the best hot pepper sauces in Trinidad. Quan Kep's Pork Shed - Next we re heading over to Couva, Trinidad & Tobago, to Quan Kep's Pork Shed, know for their crispy fried pork and Trinidadian Chinese dishes. The food was amazing, the crispy pork and the hot peppers - and the fried pork with the Moruga scorpion chili. Chinese food is yet another cultural representation of Trinidadian food. Sylvie's Roti Shop - San Juan, Trinidad & Tobago - Finally to complete this extra spicy food tour we went to one of Zaaks favorite roti shops for rice and dal and accompanying dishes. And this is where I tasted the true power of the Trinidad scorpion - absolutely fire!

Mark without you even knowing, your helping me through the roughest time of my life; lost both my parents last year and just now my girlfriend told me she can't handle the stress anymore. These videos are helping me to retaliate things a bit and brings back some of the old feelings of life! thanks a ton my digital friend!

Love you Mark but not feeling the last two or three videos lately.
Have to skip all the way to the end.
Preferred the videos where you should go eating at multiple markets and spots rather than one place.
Good video but still enjoy more of the eating.

This series is doing so much for Trini morale, it's great to see ourselves as we really are, sweet, welcoming, diverse, friendly, hardworking and funloving people. If we get the criminals and politicians to see themselves this way we're going to be ok

My dad grew some scorpion peppers and I bit the tip off and was on fire for at least 15 minutes. The scorpion peppers cross pollinated my mom's jalapenos and the jalapenos that year were more hot than the scorpion peppers. Crazy stuff!

Quan is ah boss, love her food. Happy you get to experience our food Mark. Thank you again Mark, Zack and Visit Trinidad, for showcasing our food. Mark pass the pepper test, time to make him an honorary trini.

I eat Scorpion Pepper ever single day along with Reapers. I freaking love the burn and in my humble opinion the Scorpion is hotter than the Reaper. Ask any chili head and you likely will hear the same thing.

No disrespect, but he pronounces pepper like pep-pa instead of pep-per and I can't stop focusing on it every time he says it. Not sure why I find it so irritating. Otherwise great video.

To the company that makes the sauce the washing baskets are a very inefficient way doing this if you spent bit money on sink shaped baskets with easy reach handles would save a lot of time

I commend you! As much as I like spice. you have to have a real tolerance for spice to eat this pepper! As always. great food, great smile & great hospitality! Stay Blessed Mark!

Dear Mark, you are douing great videos. Just one tip, in a pepper not the seeds holds the heat. It calls plocenta, the end of the chilli, there is the good stuff. Best regards!

People. please be aware. when Mark says the pepper is fruity DO NOT assume a nice cherry or apple. It is still beyond normal heat and tolerance. Be warned
