Dear lady, it's good that you are showing people how to make this delicious dish but keep saying it looks like diarrhea is not helping at all! Firstly, you are disrespecting people who like this amazing dish and secondly you put off people who want to try it for the first time. My friend wanted to actually make this dish but after hearing that word, she decided not to go ahead. So be more sensible and just tell people how to make it. What you say is not funny, believe me.

yeah, let's get a show with Farideh and find out about her origins and what's made her her. she's really easy to watch, makes you smile/laugh and that sass. she so sassy and cheeky. it's refreshing! If she's from Iran then I'm guessing she could teach us all quite a bit about good food. and maybe a bit about Iran too. people could do with being educated more on that region!

I've been on the YouTubes for a while and I have to say the munchies community might be one of the worst. If they don't get Matty or Action they cry and complain without hesitation. Bon appetit is a close second with their obsession with brad. all the hosts are great, if all you want is one guy buy their cookbook and Stfu

Im so surprised that this is an Iranian dish, and not a single spice added? How can this be so tasty with so few ingredients. Could i at least swap some water with som chicken stock for flavour? OR if this is so simple and easy as it seems, i just have to give it a go

there are two kind of pomegranate syrup, persian and arabic, Arabic one are more sour, so you need to add sugar, also it's better to add it at last hour of cooking, as if you add from beginning it turns a bit bitter taste, sugar don't like a long time of cooking

It needs turmeric and saffron! How can it be Persian without turmeric and saffron! =P--I tend to grind the nuts a little bit less fine, but that's a really good looking fasenjoon. A well-made fasenjoon is basically one of the best foods on the planet.

I-m watching a series on Hulu and one of the characters made this dish. When she said the name I was like -hmmm, why does that sound familiar? Didn-t that lady from Munchies make that one time? - So I-m back just to check my sources, lol.

This is a great recipe. Thank you. I would like to offer a small correction though to your commentary. The Iranian New Year (Norouz) has nothing to do with ANY religion, least of all with Islam. Norouz is purely an Iranian national Holiday.

This is all wrong. You add the pomegranate molasses at the end so it retains its freshness and tartness. You're also supposed to caramelize the onions chopped into small pieces and let them just stew with the walnuts till they dissolve into it.
