Beer is arguably Bohemia-s most important contribution to world culture. Birthplace of pilsner beer, Czech breweries are known for perfecting the art of brewing beer. Hannah travels to the village of Unetice and meets up with Vladimir, a master brewer. She learns about the brewing process and then gets to take a look at the brewery-s kitchen, where the beer is used as a popular ingredient. Hannah then goes back to Prague and meets up with the self-proclaimed -beer philosopher- Max Bannson. He tells her about his personal beer philosophy and the importance of beer in Czech society

Alright, I felt in terms of Czech-ness, this episode won the main prize, but in terms of the shit she keeps babbling, it was the worst. She doesn't know anything about beer, obviously, and after drinking Czech beer she says she prefers IPAs? Wow, that's a new low. Not to sound like a beer snob, but in the past six months I've tried a ridiculous number of different beers made in the US and overseas, but not one tastes nearly as good as a mediocre Czech brew. --The foam is something you get used to as a foreigner, for Czechs there's no other way of draughting it. Beer just can't be flat, and if you go to a good pub, they will always draught exactly the right amount of beer (to the line) and the right amount of foam. If you get beer in the US, they just pour it in one go like it's water, but in the Czech Republic, when a restaurant or pub is crowded, you'll see a line of empty beer mugs, a line of half full ones and a line of full ones ready to be taken away, because there's so much foam, you need to let it sit. --I miss Czech already.

As a Hungarian, I love cooking Goulash for my Canadian friends. Usually when we go camping and fishing, I'll bring a big pot with me and put it over the fire and cook it on there!
