These beautifully impressive and cheesy Scalloped Potatoes must be the best that I've EVER made! Alex: Sam, I too am 42 and smashed the like button (I think. There must be something I did wrong. We used 4oz of goat cheese, I used maybe a little more than a cup of cream because my slop didnt quite look like your slop with a cup. And I bake our garlic in about a table spoon of oil on a cookie sheet. Where did I F up

Okay, my son in law didn't really like my scalloped potatoes, it kinda hurt my feelings, so I was on the search for a better recipe. I watched this video several times, bought all the ingredients, and had a dry run before I make it for him. OMG I could have sat and are the entire pan! My son actually ate a lot! I told him to save so. e for his sister, and it was badly a spoonful anyway, I added some ham to it, and it's now my go to recipe. Good job.

Boy, Sam, that is a meal! Maybe add some ham cubes or bacon and that could be breakfast as well. Curious? Do you do voice-overs for Ben Stein? I was watching your show the other day and my daughter says, who does he sound like? We both agree on Ben Stein. Maybe during one of your YouTube videos you could give us a Bueller? Bueller? Fry? Fry. Thanks for all you're doing, Sam!

thanks for this dish it reminds me of something close my mom would make shes been gone now 2 years, only thing she add 2 cups cream of celery soup, peperika, and cut slices of cooks ham steak and put it all in the crock pot she called it ham dish and was a all in one stick to your ribs meal in the 80's when we had a repression, and budgets were low.

i do these a little differently. i use a salad shooter because mandolin just seems like asking for cut fingers for me. also make a bechemel sauce but i might have to try it this way assuming i find feta with truffle. i also usually make them after i made a ham and i cut up the leftover ham into it and it is a main dish.

I do not have an educated palate and I am a little afraid of goat cheese but I am willing to give this a try (if I can find some in the places I shop. So far I have been very impressed from your other videos and cant wait till I can drive down to SD and visit your restaurants.

I made this with pan-seared ribeye and green beans for Sunday dinner. Oh, my! Garlic & herb goat cheese (didnt have truffle, and subd powdered roasted garlic for the paste. Still, it was up there; not down here. Planning to do again with the Steak Diane. #noleftovers

I made this for my wife today for mother's day. I couldn't find truffle goats cheese, so I used pepper goats cheese. Chives came from my garden, picked right before use. The results were amazing. Thanks for the recipe. You made a non cooking dad look really good.
