How to Deadhead Roses Linda: Thank you so much! You are the first person to actually reallly explain how to cut/deadhead roses for more blooms. I ruined all 8 of my knock roses a few years back because I didnt know how to trim them correctly. I planted 3 new roses bushes in another area (thinking it was the area they were in, (although both are in sunny locations) but now that Ive watched your video and Im about to go deadhead properly! I cant wait to see them bloom more roses for me!

GardenAnswer. I have a Mr. Lincoln rose but this year it looks more like a floribunda and the color is not the red anymore but has deepened with more purple tones. Is this how it is going to look from now on or will it go back to the red hybrid tea shape next year? Any idea what happened to it? Our spring was really wet this year and cold and most of my garden is several weeks late.

Amazing video! we have a couple of rose gardens and I am deadheading for the very first time as I type this having just watched your video We have a significant percentage of our white and other pale pink roses that have spots on them When the bloom is shaken, no petals fall off but Im curious if they should be deadheaded anyway because of the spotting
Thank you from a new BIG fan!

I love watching your videos. All of them are so full of information. Particularly this one as I am a big fan of David Austin roses and got got a few in containers. This video has showed the perfect way of pruning roses. Very useful for me as I am a beginner and was afraid to any light summer pruning. Thanks a lot for your video.

Im stunned! I've worked in nurseries (one, a rose specialist) for nearly 18 years and this is the FIRST time I've ever heard of the 5 leaves rule! Why is this not more known! I live in Australia, maybe that has something to do with it? We are just transitioning into Spring, so I will be implementing this rule from now on!

question, there are some at walmart in small 4ish inch-ish pots, and they have some blooms on them. Noone there to ask and the label has no info on the type. Is there a way i can tell at the time of looking at it on the shelf if it is a 1 time bloomer? I am COMPLETELY new to roses.

Great presentation as always. I love David Austin's and Heritage Roses. Wish you would do a special on them. I use a liquid system drench that helps combat mildew, black spot and bugs. Wish they would come out with a systemic drench to deter deer. Spraying is a pain.

Hi, would you be able to help identify my roses so I know how to deadhead them? I have pictures. I am noticing the 5 leaf and 3 leaf you talked about, but on stems that didnt flower I am noticing 7 leaves (maybe a different species. Please let me know! Thanks!

Thank you for this video. I have 2 rose bushes and this is going to be extremely helpful because I was doing it all wrong. Question, how or do you have problems with beetles and black spot? If so how do you handle it?

My rose plants leaves have black spots on its leaves and the leaves are turning yellow. What should I do? Can I prune all the branches to the ground? Will it grow back and have flowers next spring? Thanks.
