Shopping for Plants for My New Wall Planter! Garden Answer Andrea: I really enjoyed watching you shop for plants and showing us how to pair different plants together. The wall planter turned out so pretty! Your parents garden center is so beautiful! Sometime I would love it if you could talk about types of evergreens that would be best planted around oak trees. I am having a hard time deciding on what to plant since we have so many oak trees in our front and backyard. I tried azaleas, but they didn't do so well and we ended up taking them out this summer. Also I would like to know a good sturdy grass to plant in our yard that will withstand a very active puppy!

Think I'll swap out my waning summer flowers on the fence an use this for inspiration to dress it up for fall. Love your idea of asking people to bring there pots an fill them at the garden center, my goal is to open a small garden center next yr, an I think I'm taking that idea an running with it, think Ill call it the Garden Answer potting station, sounds good to me.

I watched your video and ordered my planter right away. I am in a beach community with a huge array of trees, especially all sorts of pine cone trees. Lots of shade and not much sun. This is perfect. It is due to be delivered today so I am writing down the plants to look for at our local PW garden center. What an inspiration you are!

A potting table for customers to pot up their planters on site is a WONDERFUL idea! Some people just don't have a place to pot their containers so they give up after the first season or its just too messy for the place they have such as an apt. balcony. You might sell more garden supplies and plants if you do this!

To Keep moisture in the container, install few styrofoam florist bricks at the bottom of the basket, they retain moisture, so less chores irrigation these out of the way pots. Once in while throw in some silk flowers, work great for added pop of color in the darker months of fall.

Hi Laura and Aaron. I absolutely love watching your videos. How you explain every type of plant, zoning, calculating first frosts, ect is something no one else does. Your amazing Laura and I love watching your videos. You both have a wonderful day!

Oh that's so pretty! And i love the way the foliage of the hucheras and the lime coloured centre front plant (can't think of the name, they're not very common where I'm from) are picking up the foliage colours in the garden bed it hangs above. Gorgeous!

Laura, will you please talk about the mechanics of hanging planters on your house walls. For example, what kind of screws are you using so 6our house isn't damaged? Are you using anchors? I am worried about damaging my siding.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE foliage planters and gardens.
I am a bit frustrated though. I prefer assymetric displays. I would have left out the second hosta so it really pops and maybe not space out the ivy plants. Prove me wrong.
