I do think that seeds are worth it if you have the estate to justify massive productions of different annuals and perennials. Then there's also the long term consideration for having to buy a setup once, and having it around long enough to justify the initial costs.
Personally, I grow my snacker type tomatoes from seed. They just taste so much better than the seedlings already grown from store. You can pick out the tastiest varieties and grow them every year instead of being stuck with the one or two varieties you find at a big box store.
It also adds to your options. This year, Madagascar periwinkles are not available. And gomphrenas are still nowhere to be found (they never sold them in my area. Yet, Amazon has those seed packets with thourands of seeds in them.

Wow! so amazing I totally loved the tour of where you planted all of these gorgeous plants. I think that there is something so satisfying to plant seeds and watch them grow and then be able to plant them either in your landscape or in pots. I really love how everything is looking, you have such a beautiful yard and all the beautiful plants and trees, it just makes me so happy to see everything growing and it also give me so many ideas as to what I can do in my own small yard and flower beds. Also amazing ideas for my flower pots. Thank you Laura and Aaron for sharing, I loved this video so much, see you soon, XOXO, bye for now.

How did you start the eryngiums? The information on the packet seems unbelievably complicated. Plant it directly outside, Keep them at 64 to 72 for 2-4 weeks then 25 to 39 for 4-6 weeks. How can anyone accomplish this? I live in the mountains of North Carolina, zone 6B, it in five years it has never gotten that cold and it never gets over 85 in the summer. Also, we get plenty of rain. My foxgloves self-seed profusely, but not always where I want them.

Well done with your seeds, I only started gardening last month and it is so satisfying. I had an old wisteria in a pot at the side of the house on a trellis, I had it in mind to cut it up and rake it to the recycling tip, but after watching your videos I decided to cut it right back, replant it, ferilise it and give it the chance to grow and guess what? This morning I saw buds! I was SO thrilled! Thank you, thank you, thank you

Hi Laura. I noticed behind you the willow tree and it reminded of a question have been wanting to ask you. I believe you had a curly willow in the back yard of your previous home and I was wondering what to do if you see black spots on the leaves and some dead branches scattered in the tree every spring and seems to be getting worse. Is there anything I can do to help the tree? Thank you and I love your videos

BED & BREAKFAST QUESTION: Hey Laura, Aaron, and Benjamin! Have you thought of having a Bed and Breakfast on your new property? That would be so awesome and revenue for you guys! The reason I ask is because I would love to just stay a night or two and view your beautiful landscape and gardens. It would be a perfect weekend getaway! I sure hope this is something you guys would consider!

I also figure in the cost of electricity to run the lights when starting indoors which can add up too. Many of the seeds I love to start you cannot find plants of in any garden centers anywhere and that makes it worth the time and $$$ to start them. My Sea Holly was nearly a wash this year, I got 3 plants out of an entire packet of seeds so glad you know you struggle with it too.

Laura thank you so much for the extensive info. I absolutely love foxglove and delphiniums. Ive planted them in my garden and they did return for 1-2 years. When I put more in the garden, none of these came back. My question is - should you move the mulch in order to help the plant reseed itself and if yes when should you move the mulch to help them reseed? Thank you

Love watching all your videos. You always help us understand the plants first. You and Aaron did such a great job editing your videos. The new editor seems to be trying to fancy them up with music and special effects. Theres no need for any of that. The reason I enjoy yall so much is that you seem like regular people just like us. Cant wait to see whats next.
