Ideas for Repurposing Tea Tins! Garden Answer nancy: This fills me with joy. and perplexity. Because of YOU, Laura, I have spent untold millions (LOL) on succulents, fairy garden paraphernalia, and an array of gewgaws in order to create some of your magic. Alas, it has all been relegated to a garage shelf b/c I. gave. up. I cannot get tiny succulents to stand up in cactus and succulent soil long enough to pack the container. You have shown us many succulent projects, but I wish you would show us the length of stem on the tiny plant and tell us if the soil is just damp enough to help hold the plants in during the process of creating the whole container. (I am terrified about overwatering succulents. Show us the tiny, magical details of what's in your hands (fingers, really) when you are doing a project. Of course I sound like a crazy woman - you'll say you've done this PLUS you'll never see this comment because this video went up a week ago! Oh, and I bought a drill and and an array of bits so I can create a planter out of anything - I yelled at my poor husband and threatened him within an inch of his life if he didn't put back the drill bit he borrowed a couple of weeks ago (I keep my bits in a drawer of my antique sideboard where seemed safe enough at the time)

SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE?
I doubt Laura will see this or her hubby! Hoping somebody else in comments can help me. My supertunias in 2 hanging baskets are starting to have leaves turn yellow. Im backing off on water in case they were getting too much, but what else could it be or should i do?
I fertilize with miracle grow once a well to every 10 days. Do you think I need something with higher iron? I never have had this issue before and am not sure what to do! Please help.

Oh my gosh how beautiful! And thank you for sharing your struggles with the project as well. Now I'm just imagining a lovely vintage tiered tea plate (caddy? thing with elegant snacks. plates that look like a wedding cake. what is that called) filled with these little arrangements and teacups planted up, as a centerpiece for a nice afternoon event, maybe a baby shower. Wonderful!

Adorable Laura. I do have to mention, I had sedum find it's way into my lawn, beautiful little yellow flowers. but I didnt realize within a very short amount of time it had taken over part of our yard. I spent 2 days sitting on my hiney pulling them out by hand. so they didn't reseed in my neighbors lovely very well manicured lawns. I love all 3 of your creations.

I snorted coffee at the decapitated fairy. You seem so kind, and you manage small plants and large plants with the appropriate level of firmness or gentleness. This video in particular you managing delicate little pieces so carefully, then out of no where you beheaded a fairy. I have always loved it that you leave these mishaps in.

Hey Laura, I've tagged you on Twitter a couple, a few, (okay lots) of times with Chip Gaines. Because I think you should be part of their new Magnolia Network. I'm curious though is that something you want to pursue to have a show like P Allen Smith? I don't want to get you into something you don't want. We just love watching you!

Laura I have a garden that is 2 x 5 feet, Id like it to be pretty structured as it is by the most used side door! Something that is low maintenance. I currently have a sedum, a bleeding heart and a cypress with some bulbs that come up seasonally. Do you have some ideas? Can I send you a picture of the space?

I have some tins that I love that I now have MANY ideas to use for. I have a favorite cookie tin, low and flatish, that I think I'll create a fairie garden that has a miniature train in. Thank you for the inspiration!
