Visiting the Garden Center & Planting a Few New Things! Garden Answer Sandy: Hi Laura and Aaron! I love going to your parents Garden Center. They really do have a lot of empty space now. I hope you'll take us back when they receive their fall plants. I really like the plants you picked and where you planted them. Most of us probably look at your gardens and can't imagine them needing any more improvements, but then when you add something, it's like WOW! It's always fun watching your excitement over getting new plants and then planting them. It's very contagious! Just curious, do the geraniums have a nice scent? Thank you so much for sharing!

I'm laughing so hard because you sound just like me when I go shopping in the nurseries! :D Luckily I have clients that I buy for, so my monologue usually sounds like Oh so-and-so will love this, I'll get three, and she will love these, there are only 5 left so I'll snag them up! Oh these are gorgeous and no one needs them but I know I'll find them a home I can't pass up these beauties! - Yes, sometimes that home is my own yard; )

It was so cool to see you at the garden center because my husband I were just there! We live in Washington and were taking our son to college in Boise and decided to take a side trip to Ontario OR to visit your parents garden center. I met your mom, she is so sweet. We were there this past Saturday, Aug 15th. I wonder if it was the same day you were there. I looked at many of the same things you did in this video!

Our home is many thousand of miles away in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and I get so much enjoyment watching you in your beautiful garden - so envious! Loved watching this You Tube tonight especially seeing the tags of each plant you planted - not that the nurseries here have them. Thank you Laura. Keep well and safe. Cheers Rose

I seriously MISS going for wanders in my favourite plant nurseries! Most of them have been out of bounds since March2020 because of the Virus, but definitely since Melbourne, Australia went to Stage 4 lockdown at the start of August. But forever GRATEFUL I have a garden to spend my time in!

Im curious: where you beefed up the Hakonechloa All Gold grasses, what caused the original hedge to thin out as they have done? Do you anticipate needing to patch up that hedge every couple of seasons, or was there a specific reason the first planting did not survive until now?

Hi, my husband and I live in zone 6. We just bought mums and I have always potted them for fall and then pitched after that. He wants to plant them but not sure what to do and if they will look nice or not. Dead plant, should I cut them off. New Gardner. Lol
