Spreading Some Holiday Cheer with a Few Simple Winter Containers! Garden Answer Jennifer: I like the look of the fluffy arb in the spring and summer, but its a lot thinner looking in the winter. Do your fluffy arbs in the ground look like this? It makes me wonder if they dont enjoy being in pots or if thats just how they look in the winter. If they do this in the ground too (in the winter, is that something they outgrow as the tree matures or will it always do that?

Laura, I have a question: I bought an enamel pot with venting holes at the bottom, for my potatoes. However, the pot keeps getting moisture on the inside. I'm thinking its because my house is too warm. Can I store this pot in my garage and if I can, will it attract bugs or mice?

You are such a delight! I am constantly amazed at how well you get up and down for how advanced your pregnancy is. Your constant desire to give back to others is so refreshing during this time of social chaos. Blessings on you and your family for Christmas and the coming year.

Lilac suckers at the bottom is to help keep the roots growing because have cut off some of its top. You can take 2 or 3 of them and form another a new tree and finish cutting the old tree back. With out destroying the lilac bush as they were originally produced as a Bush.

Watching you cut the suckers with your Felco 2s made me wonder if that might be a job for the Felco 6s you mentioned yesterday? Some of the suckers were thicker, so I was wondering if that's what you were talking about on yesterday's video

This was a simple & fast project I felt I could do. Great for a beginner. I made a planter with winter greens & spray painted lilac branches as shown. Also, added a few Christmas tree baubles. Thank you for the inspiration!

Both projects turned out great.
I bought a big canvas painters tarp that I use for my spray painting craft projects. No need to find cardboard and I dont worry about overspray, which Ive done in the past.

Try tossing some crystal glitter over them while the paint is wet for a bit of sparkle. Doesn't have to be much to give it that extra festive touch. You're always a warm sunny spot on any cold winter day: )

Oh my goodness, Laura, you are absolutely glowing! You look so beautiful! You're beautiful anyway, but the glow! The pots look beautiful. I'm sure your community appreciates what you and Aaron do.
