Touching Base & Checking on Seedlings! Garden Answer Katie: Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! We have some things in common. I just had a baby girl last May and she was 9pbs 12. 3 Oz and her middle name is also Grace! I love watching your videos. I just started watching recently and I have so much to learn about gardening so I'm very grateful that I found you. I've been watching a lot of your videos on succulents. The first couple succulents I got for my son I overwatered and they fell apart and I felt terrible so I'm glad I am more educated about that now thanks to you. I'm wanting to start some seedlings in my house as well. I'm in zone 6 so I'm trying to figure out exactly what vegetables or flowers I can start at this point. Enjoy the several hours that you are getting right now while she's sleeping. That's one thing that I had to learn how to come to peace with was that with a baby you can't always get all the things done around the house or in the garden that you would like, but it is well worth it. I hope you and your family are enjoying this time and I am glad that your delivery went smoothly. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and stay safe.

10: 38 OMG! Very comforting hearing that, because I have an annual cut flower Garden with a few grasses and perennials and all seeds germinate and came out gorgeous, but I directly sowed 2 varieties of pansy seeds (Feline red, and Feline blue) 3 seed per hole ( 21 holes for each one) but I got just 10 Blue ones. (I have cats, so, they disturb some of them, but any red? my 9 blue pansy are doing great all year long, (2 years now) they self seed and became larger and have big flowers and bigger capsules this year. So I thought that I did something wrong but now hearing you I feel realized with my blue ones. I want add that the seeds that I collect by my self last summer have a huge germination ratio than the packet I bought at first. Happy Gardening to you all!

You[re so right. I've watched you so much I feel as you're family. I love hearing about your personal life and things you do. She is so, so beautiful. Knock on wood, she continues to sleep good - for she and your health. You look great and happy after delivering a baby so large. Can't believe you had one that large. You be sure and take care of yourself and do not be digging and lifting anything until you're completely healed. Feel free to share anything with us because we all love and care for you and your growing family. Linda, from Texas. Oh and thank you so much for the video on sewing/planting flower and garden seeds. I needed that. Sending you love and congratulations on your precious new daughter.

Looking for garden info, took a trip down memory lane with my two teen boys. My oldest always had to be awake and taking everything in. Never napped. My baby though. all he did was eat and sleep. Wondering when being a parent would be enjoyable. It will happen, I promise they'll turn into little people you like (your favorite people actually) instead of enslavement monsters. :-D

I too had one of those babies who slept 20 minutes at a time. Showers and food were almost none existent that first year as my husband traveled for work and family was busy with other things. Such a lonely feeling, but we made it through. So glad this baby is easier for you and you are feeling better able to enjoy this time of life!

Restless leg syndrome is what it sounded like. I had that when I was a teen and didnt know it was such a thing as RLS. Thankfully it went away on its own.
Theres just something about seeing your seedlings growing everyday! I would look more than once a day, as if theres gonna any significant growth!

Such a beautiful video with the Angel And very cute seedling beside you sharing your happiest garden memories. I had a question for basil. Since I don't have a indoor grow light, could I grow basil in small plastic startes on patio? If yes, how much time does the seedlings take?
