Absolutely love how Laura grabs gloves to prepare for tasks and then never uses them! Love all the changes you made! Ive been moving a lot of plants in my garden around and watching you make changes makes me feel a bit more confident about the decisions I have made. I love your positive attitude and ability not to worry too much if things dont work out. Because of you, I have become ruthless with my garden real estate! If I dont love a plant, I have no hesitation in digging it up and offering it to friends and family.

Laura, with the dismantling of the garden and moving the plants to new places in the garden in preparation for your Hartley Hall, the yard looks so different. There are things I am seeing now that I didnt realize/notice before such as the pond and chicken coop. I didnt realize they were near each other. Your tours typically show an area. It hasnt been until the last few weeks that I realize which things are near others. Its been a whole new perspective lately.

Every time you pull some dead or dying something out from under that tree I comment, hoping you see it this time: ) I'm almost certain that is a Norway Maple which does not play well with anything with significant root systems, similar to the Black Walnut. It is a very problematic tree in a lot of places for several reasons. Hoping the Viburnum does better!

Thank you so much Laura for your gardening videos. You are a true inspiration. You give me hope that I can have a much better garden. I do have a way smaller yard. And the plants that grow here is different than your area. But your inspiration is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help and ideas. Blessings to you, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha.

I am western Oregon right on the coast. The fire came within 3 miles last September but the heat and the wind has killed so much. My hydrangea looks awful but there is tiny green growing here and there. Should i cut the rest of it down from the top down where it looks dead or leave it for the spring summer to see how it looks or grows?

I wonder how many followers in the garden answer-verse have soil envy. Every time you dig a hole, I am surprised at how easily you can pop things out. I am new to gardening but digging holes on my property is back breaking work; the soil I just rock solid. I dream of having workable soil one day.

Here we are in Australia planting daffodils and you are trying not to stand on the shoots. I have just picked up a parcel of 100 bulbs from the PO - my grandchildren will help me with the pots and planting them this afternoon. Happy seasonal changes- enjoy your spring.

Perfect timing! I have a knockout rose that I'd like to move. I've never cut it back though. It's over 5 foot tall, but oddly shaped due to other bushes crowding it out. Would it be okay to move it and cut it back by half? Or should I only do one or the other?
