BUILDING a Small Cabin in the WOODS (COMPLETE BUILD)

This is how we built an entire small off grid cabin from start to finish using a portable sawmill. We are now working on the outhouse DocDeee: That so called professional is no more professional than I am currently, I trained to be a joiner, and whilst I understand about building codes this hardly qualifies as needing codes (A) it is a TEMPORARY structure a woodland shack if it pleases the hatemonger, I am already classified as a Dow and out complainer by t even as a a hatemonger I more than appreciate his skills, not as if the shack is a commercial property it is a woodland shack, perhaps not up to the standard I was trained but for a temporary holiday abode it is perfectly acceptable, if the authorities have a problem with it it is down to them not some stuffed shirt, after my army service I spent many years on building works, never high enough to fall foul of local or national government, yes restrictions in the UK are different to the States AND Canada but NOT as bad as the stiff Prick assumes I am sure he also wanted to complain about the kids building a soft igloo like building a play area in deep snow being against codes, but even he didn't have lack of common sense to make such a dumb comment, changed me about running down all the morons I come across EVERY day as a senior who also happens to be a cripple, I get enough money I shall purchase a piece of woodland and attempt to build myself an off-grid building for my more quiet and warmer times carry on bro you and the others are keeping traditions alive even in this day of government interference in our daily lives ignore the whiners like I get ignored even if my complaints are usually valid like some moron deciding the outer-lane the speed limit SHOULD be set at THEIR comfortable speed ignoring the law that states quite clearly at 70 mph NOT 20 mph BELOW THAT, I at least am justified complaining at their selfish use of the road, yes maybe I exceed the speed limit but better than causing road rage and causing accidents some people will complain about stuff they know NOTHING about L&R brother

I greatly enjoyed watching this! It turned out beautifully. I look forward to seeing further progress. Maybe I missed something but I don't recall hearing you say this was intended to be a -master carpentry tutorial- so I'm perplexed by the remarks made by the person who clearly fancies himself an expert. Surely an -expert- concerned that thousands of people are going to start building unsafe cabins all over the place would be happy to share his expertise. I have no doubt your cabin is as well built as it is beautiful. Lest we forget -Mr. I think I'm an expert- EXPERTS built the Titanic and an amateur built the ark. .Jus' sayin-

Have you guys ever thought of going solar panel couple solar panels and a battery or two and a converter would set you guys up nicely and make the cabin even better but I've been hearing a lot of people's been saying negative things about your build but don't let that small stuff bother you maybe they're just jealous but good job guys keep your heads up and have a great day God bless

i love the vids keep up the great work i am from a big city in the netherlands but i have been thought a lot of outdoor eating and how to get around by my grandmother when i was younger and it always sticks with me this is great for young people to learn keep it up have a great day

Well it's been 2 years. Wheres the follow up video. I've been in construction my whole life and you guys did a great little job in this cabin. And hats off for actually Putin putting headers above ALL doors and windows!

I wish my dad still alive. He was a carpenter. Now that I own my own forest 38acres with lots of logs, I wish to build our cabin out logs we have in the property. Just don-t know who to hire and trust to build it for us.

Garden sprayer with water and borax washing soda solution would kill mold and spray bottom of floor to keep termites and mold off. Bleach alone turns into un-bleach when it hits porous surface. BLESSINGS!

Can-t imagine how hard it was to build a cabin alone with just an ax pre-gasoline tools. Wonderful to use on-site dead trees. Love the live edge beams and red roof. Well done!
