In this episode we're fishing for sheephead under Bob Sikes Bridge in Gulf Breeze, FL. These fish are strong fighters, have GNARLY looking teeth and they taste delicious. Watch as I struggle to entice a bite while everyone around me hooks up left and right. Then Greg Ammon and I show you our favorite way to cook up sheephead and redfish on the Big Green Egg. Book a trip with Brandon Barton

I think maybe your loops were too long and the crabs were hiding in the stuff on the piling. I'm still pretty new to fishing for sheepshead but I've had success with a really short loop, like an inch and a half in length. I couldn't tell in the video but it also helps to move the bait up and down the water column. Start at 5 feet deep and move down 5 feet at a time until you get bit or hit the bottom. They're a challenging fish to catch but well worth it

My biggest sheepshead was a 21 monster caught on a tiny dockdemon rod I ice that fish down and it was still alive after 30 minutes of being on ice.
