The
I always always always have my stuff on leashes, ever since i got swamped by a boat i didnt see in falmouth i always have my stuff tied with a bunie chord and caribeaner clips cause it sucks to loose not only your rods and reels but especially your 500 dollar hobie seat and pedal drive. Also dont use inflatable lifejackets get one that doesnt have any room to fail and always keep it on. It maybe hot or not the most comortable but its sure more comfortable than drowning lol

I really hope you guys pitched together and got that guy some new gear. I mean, you gave up corporate life to fish and travel all over the place, there is clearly a healthy balance in your bank account
That is me assuming the ol boy ain't loaded himself.

One time we caught a legit 8 foot female hog from the jetboat. It towed us 3 miles downstream. Took about 4. 5 hours to land. So big you couldn't put your arms around it. It would have pulled you and your yak underwater.

New sub man and I'm glad to see you caught one. I live in Oregon and my Uncle caught a 14 footer off the bank once. That was almost a 3 hour fight AND on the bank.
Time for you to come back and get a bigger one!
