Here is another I told you so. I made the same coment on your video posted on September 18th. After several OS and firmware updates, it became clear to me that they don't want third party apps. You pay for a FireStick and you still don't own it. Amazon is deciding what you may have on it much like Roku. What's the difference You might as well be on parole with super tight conditions. I invested in the NVIDIA Shield Pro and I don't have these problems EVER. My advice... find a better streaming device or be a Sheeple and experience the FireStick blunder.

A LARGE percentage of the devices such as the, stick, cube and even TVs are sold only because of ease of use and access. If they want to limit that then it's a great move. Watch Ardoid box brand expand. TVs with PlayStore access or even mini PC. Last they not too bright because it also forces open the door to people willing to spend money on devices like the NVIDIA SHIELD. A far more superior device and it has GEFORCE which is in direct competition with their LUNA platform. This will be interesting.

I was actually going to buy a firestick since they appear to be 50% off on Amazon because I'm sick of how the Roku just feels like a useless Apple device because there's just no user utility and no freedom so I was looking towards a firestick for sideloading some apps but if sideloading is unavailable I guess firesticks are also not for me and I will have to keep looking for something else to replace my roku with like maybe walmarts Onn or another android TV box

Amazon Changing the O/s will be a massive update.
I hope you mean Amazon are adding a new operating system for all products that are Still in production.

If they just. won't to show there premium apps then they should be honest with the customers and state that these devices are only for premium streaming

I switched over to Mecool android boxes and no issues. So much more storage space than the crappy fire sticks without all the forced apps and content. No need for launcher managers that amazon blocks as soon as they come out . This will be the death of fire devices but who cares with o many other options out there tbh.

I actually see the 3rd party apps are slowly going down for firesticks cause I load firesticks and it's not even worth it any more plus the movie apps r getn messed up scrapers to put up the wrong movies and links that dnt work .

I have 4 Firesticks and 2 Roku in the house, I discovered NVIDIA SHIELD TV PRO like 2 years ago and I'll never go back to Firesticks, they're just too slow.
Nvidia Shield has a good Live TV Menu system too

I don't think Amazon realizes that most of their firestick sales are bought by those who mod them. I buy hundreds of them each year to mod and resale. So if this happens, they will definitely lose sales.

I do not like that I know Amazon owns there's products the only third party I use is adguard but I always can put that into the browser I would like would they get rid of the bookmarks

Well they have done it! No more third party apps on the firestick.They erased all mine.you can't side load apps anymore.Done with the firestick.Went to the ONNI device.

My firestick no longer turns on and it says no signal on TV screen. I did have 3rd party app downloaded. Any suggestions how to fix as I've tried most things listed.

I doubt it will affect me much going forward, as i don't use sideloading at all. And no way am i paying out for an Apple or Nvidia streaming device.

I like my Firesticks, But I'm not married to it. Onn $20 device with a $3 OTG cable for my wireless mouse works just as good as any firestick I owned.

Won't be buying another Fire TV. Already some apps aren't working...like Silk Browser. Can't cast, either. Paramount plus doesn't work. Grrrr.
