No equipment needed for this 20 minute at home abs workout. I do love some stretching and some extra ab work on my active rest days so I thought I would record this simple routine for you to save for those low impact days when you want to move but not affect your training the next day! These movements are all different each performed for 50 seconds, 10 seconds brief rest. This is a slow paced routine to really encourage that extra focus on lower back flat on mat and core braced throughout. Just grab your mat and join me for a 20 minute ab routine, targeting the lower abs, upper abs, obliques and entire core! PLANK TWIST PLANK ALT KNEE SIDE TUCK DEAD BUG TOE TAPS ELBOWS ALT TUCK TO EXT REACH TO LEG LOWER STRAIGHT LEG REVERSE CRUNCH HIP LIFT LEG LOWER TO FROG TUCK TABLE TOP SINGLE LEG EXT TABLE TOP SINGLE LEG EXT (switch) OPP HAND TO FOOT CHOP OPP HAND TO FOOT CHOP (switch) HIP LIFT TO ALT TWIST CRUNCH WITH PULSE OPP ELBOW TO KNEE CRUNCH OPP ELBOW TO KNEE CRUNCH (switch) HUG TO HOLLOW BUTTERFLY CRUNCH W/ PULSE If you are currently doing the EPIC Program, you will be aware there is a lot of movements involving stabilisation and strengthening of the core including full body movements, HIIT training, also overhead press and even back work! Also there are ab specific exercises towards the end of at beginning of many of the workouts too. however I also love training abs solely occasionally!

thanks so much, caroline! i love your workouts. this one destroyed my abs a couple days ago, and i only got halfway through! hahaha. here i go again!
edit: i made it all the way through this time but took a long break halfway through lol

Great exercises. Could it be a possibility to add a pop up video of alternative - easier movements for the harder one you are doing? That way your audience is far greater. Love these exercise.

Me 3 months ago would procrastinate from late night OT work by watching Netflix and laugh out loud at the idea of doing 20 minutes of ab exercises, im so glad she started Epic and became now-me: D

I wonder how many calories this workout burns? Im just interested/curious. Has anyone done it with a tracking device like smart watch maybe?

Did this before epic endgame day 1! Great way to work my core and warm up my legs for the day 1 workout!
