45 Min Shoulders and Triceps Workout with Dumbbells - EPIC II - Day 7 - Caroline Girvan

Shoulders and the triceps will be targeted during this upper body dumbbell workout along with some bodyweight only exercises to incorporate more of a challenge! Each exercise is performed twice! We will be performing 2 x shoulder specific exercises, followed by 2 x tricep specific exercises throughout! All you will need is a pair of dumbbells, a chair and your mat! The dumbbells I am using are 8kg each however I will also use 2 x 12. 5kg for certain exercises such as pressing. Please note: if you prefer not to perform decline push ups, simply perform normal push ups or pike push ups! The shoulder press can of course be performed standing, however I do like that extra bit of support for the back when it is available and when performing heavier reps with less reps! The timer will be on for 40 seconds, 20 seconds rest! Really go for it with the burn out at the end! It-s only 1 set! Try to lock out the arms and aim for parallel to floor! You will feel pretty solid after this session! Enjoy the feeling! This was challenging but lots of fun. I found myself regretting my life choices when we got to the second group of Cobra pushups, but Caroline's smile and my music helped me push through.
Overall, I really appreciate how smoothly each exercise flowed into the next and I appreciated that we got to repeat exercises because it gave me an opportunity to experiment a bit with weight and my body placement.

I remember the first time I tried to do a Side Lying Tricep Press. I couldn't lift myself off the floor. Literally, not even an inch! I couldn't even figure out how to place my hand on the floor to push my body up! -That day I thought -Maybe I don't have any triceps. - So today, a few months later, when that exercise came along and I performed it easily I proudly said to myself -Progress, once again! - -Thanks again, Caroline! I had been following you for a while now and I love your workouts especially your strength training. I love the fact that you are recording your exercises and the videos are unedited, showing us that even you had to stop and take a breather. This makes it more realistic. Thank you for your workouts. Since following you I have up my weights. Keep doing what you are doing best.

During this pandemic, Caroline has shown that we don-t require to have the equipment to do an exercise it can be done just with dumbbells. I am a huge fan of Caroline finished EPIC I last week, now continues with EPIC II. Thank you, Caroline

This one was great! I alternated between 6 kg, 9. 5 kg and 12. 5 kg. My arms are really starting to look great: )

Loved this workout, always find shoulders workouts extremely challenging, even managed a skull crusher push-up!
