Hey guys So i stopped working out in the gym for 2 whole months. I stopped lifting weights in mid December because I wanted to focus on recovering and had my flat belly program launched early january but had to stop halfway cause I was getting so ill. So In total of more than 2 months of not lifting weights (with that one gym session when I was in Sydney with Gymshark) and no bodyweight workouts for more than a month as well. I just want to say it is okay to take some time to recover. I am probably not as fit as before but so what It is OKAY It will take me some time to slowly ease into going back to the gym but i'm totally fine with that

Ive been working out since 2016, I used to Weight 180lbs, now i must be around 136-140lbs. Ive never stopped working except for one day in a week. I dont know if its my routine since im in college, but before college i used to dance a lot and be more energetic, didnt feel the need to nap at all and would sleep quite late at night, also I had a normal diet but ate a bit more since I danced a lot and worked out 30 minutes daily. Now im constantly tired, I feel the need to take 2-3 hour nap after i get home from college, and still feel tired. Even though im at a normal healthy weight I dont have abs, I have my overweight belly but my abs are only a bit noticeable, Ive been doing your workouts from the start of year 2018, and sometimes i push too hard on only 10 minutes workouts since im so tired, I dont know what to do, I think my metabolism is slow because im always cold as well, really cold, specially at college i have to wear really warm clothes to keep my body at a bit of normal temperature, i eat normally now as well, I dont want to stop working out because im afraid of gaining weight again, thats the only thing I worry and worse changes on my appearance. Can anyone tell me if they have gone through this days as well? And how can I get more energy through the day?

I'm 21, female, 50kg, 165cm. I wasn't fat, but I also wasn't toned. Never been to the gym before. I wanted to start feeling good about myself again. Soo. I've been working out consistently and improving my diet since January. I conditioned myself to work out everyday since December last year, so that it would become a habit by the start of the year (It takes about 21 days for an activity to stick and become a habit. Beginner's mistake is to workout everyday, and I only started taking healthy breaks in between my workout just this month. Two weeks ago, out of curiosity, I took a break, for 7 days straight. Didn't exercise, not even mild cardio. Nothing changed much physically, tbh. I was just anxious because of the change in my schedule. Other than that, I was just excited to workout the following week. But I still don't think I can stop working out for 60 days straight. It would stress me out too much.

This just shows the importance of diet and listening to your body when it tells you to rest & recover Also shows that you can live a sustainable lifestyle even if you dont always have killer workouts that make you sore the next day. Chloe was probably very disciplined and consistent with her workout before taking a rest and the results held her over despite not working out for over a month. In some ways shes probably coming back stronger from a period of rest than if she kept pushing her body to exhaustion. Your body still looks amazingI was working out 3 hours a day about 4-5 days a week in preparation for a pole competition in March (2 hr combined warmup/stretching/cool down/foam rolling, 1 hr performance training). Since then I took about 2 weeks of active rest and just got back into the weight room yesterday. I feel stronger and less fatigued. Rest really makes a difference.

I am so happy to see this video today I really needed know that it's ok if you can't workout. My situation has been so rocky for the past month now. I am divorcing and my ex is giving me a hard time. Through all of my stress working out was the one of the things that got me through, but for a month now I haven't gotten in a good workout. I don't have a car anymore because of my ex and I can't even get to the gym consistently. Im not happy with the way my body looks. I try to do little things here and there until things get better. I'm just glad to know that IO am not alone. :)

I just want to share that it is OKAY if you can't workout. Yes i've lost some muscle mass, and yes I might look a little more on the skinny fat side. But so what? At the moment I'm choosing my health over working out. I had a good day working out and today i'm bloating and cramping The reason why I didn't gain much weight from not exercising was because I was eating healthy. Diet plays a big role when it comes to your health and your body composition Also, thanks so much for all the positive comments I read every single of your comments and I really appreciate you guys

last year around Christmas time I stopped working out and had family gatherings and started eating and got real lazy. so the obvious, but true lesson here--Its ok to stop working out, and take a break. But a break is a break. Its not quitting. If you take a break you cant slack forever though. The right time will never come, so if you get as lazy as I did. dont forget that its not good to slack forever My eating habits got really good and bad and became a mess, and I have a few regrets; but its okay, I learned a lesson. I hope you did too: D

HOLD UPYOU IN THE COMMENTSJUST BECAUSE CHLOE DIDN'T WORK OUT FOR TWO MONTHS DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULDN'T EITHERDON'T LET YOUR LAZINESS TAKE OVER PLEASEFeel free to take a break when you really need it, when you really need time to recover. If you're feeling okay and you just don't feel like starting a workout, then don't make excuses. Just start. Trust me. You'll feel better afterward. Even a short workout is better than no workout. Just don't let laziness become a habit: D(I could use this reminder myself lol)

For everyone wondering how she can look that good even after not working out for 2 months; it's because she as been working out for a while now (2 years I think, her body has a muscle memory by now. Once your body is used to being in the same shape for a while it'll keep that shape even if you stop working out a little while. And she kept eating super healthy as well. Building up muscle will be much easier for someone who has been muscly before than someone who has never worked out
