Tricep Pushdowns need some work? Today we are going over rope extensions because they are one of the absolute best ways to get insanely rounded triceps and hopefully with what I show you today you-re going to be more purposeful with your pushdowns/extensions and be able to target exactly what part of your tricep you want to grow. I highlighted in this video what I think are important things to think about for any tricep exercise but especially with pushdowns because there are so many tweaks you can make to your form that takes this exercise to another level

Do you think that switching your workouts up every 12 weeks is important? Would this be beneficial for muscle growth? I suppose that if the muscle is overloaded with exersises that have a different movement path and tension curve every 12 weeks, and focussing on the -new- exercise, this would create a better stimulus? This is something I would assume, but I don't know if I am right. What is your take on this? Is it necessary to switch things up once in a while? I'm always a little bit scared that I might not be getting all of the potential gains out of my workouts, because I'm not switching my workout plan up every 10-14 weeks. Excuse me if I made any language mistakes, I am from Holland!

Tric technic
1) Rope; push away from body, flex back towards to the body and squeez
2) The angel of the forearm determet which part of the tricep the movment hits.
Straight foreward = the longhead 45-out= the outside horseshoe.
3) Rope; when pushing out from body, when halfways you shoul have your wrist bent down max,
never lockout the arm straight down
4) Rope; a) lift elbows 90- pull in against body b) flex forearm over elbow & bend wrist dowv
c) twist your wrist out for a horseshoe squeez
5) Rope Partial 60: a; 20x topmovement 20x bottommovement 20x fullmovement (=21: a)

Appreciate the video, but saying that a push down tricept. machine is a kids game and doing the stack and showing your freinds and moving-on.
Is not correct in my opinion.
I believe in correct form but seated and not maxing out. in mind muscle type connection reps. has worked the outer part of my triceps nicely and my core secondarily.
And the tricept machine with plates on it is far better than
Square plates.
Iam not a beginner.
I guess I just didnt agree with your moving-on when you do the stack and showing your freinds comment.
Just a thought.
No harm no foul.

Yes the video was helpful. I broke my left arm in a motorcycle accident 25 years ago. Now, I can't do skull crushers. So learning different techniques sure helps. And yes it would be great to see a separate video on different attachments besides the rope. I have cables and a door anchor at home. I bought several attachments on eBay and two on Amazon. They are great! Plus I use dumbbells and a bench. I'm 64. Thanks!

HUGE FAN of your work & it is much appreciated. Makes me want to get in the gym and try out all the new techniques and variations each time, it is refreshing and challenging.
I noticed for me, partials of almost any workout really strains the muscles. It really emphasizes the movements and puts more pressure on the muscles since you are stopping and going where you normally wouldn't. Keep up the hard work!

Hey Ryan could you please do a video on the different types of body splits(workouts) and which split would be the most beneficial, depending on the goal of the individual, for instance mine is hypertrophy to make some serious muscle gain, I've been training for a while now but I feel with my current split I've hit a wall. Please help

Hey Ryan on the 20-20-20 exercise can you use a straight bar instead of the rope. for whatever reason the roads kind of awkward to me it seems a little long. But if you think it works better I will try to do it. I've been implementing the 20-20-20. It absolutely blows my triceps up. I love it

Love your vids! I'd really like to see more reps though. There's more to take in than just the movement. Form is everything and I'd like to see more stance and position of other parts of the body while doing each exercise. I have to keep rewinding.

Seems to be that when turning the wrist out to get the lateral head there is really no additional lifting of the weight but simply a flexing of the muscle. I use a curl bar attachment with a wide grip to hit the lateral head.

If anyone is wondering if it works, I-ve implemented this for 2 weeks and it is the best tricep pump I-ve ever had. This mans word is the word of god from now on!
Thank you sir!
