If you want a full body workout in one exercise that really blasts your backside, then you need to include deadlifts in your routine. There are many variations of the deadlift, but all of them are a great posterior chain exercise to increase your back, glute and hamstring strength. Read the full article here

Man this was really far into your videos. Lol I really needed this, and excatly what I was searching for. I can feel when I get my form right but I wasn't getting it right every time but this is really help me out. Thanks Cori - surprisingly I can lift 40 lbs on a barbell with my wrist being the way it is, as long as my wrist brace is on(wrists has been getting better at turtle speed. but getting better -. How ironic, I can't physically make a thumbs up-)
Do you think 40 lb is too much for a beginner with the deadlift?
. now onto the different variations of the deadlift video with barbell and kettlebell

I deadlift but not with anything near maximum weight because my lower back gets sore, which means my form isn't good. Do you have suggestions on pelvic position when beginning the left (neutral or slightly posterior tilt. In my next few sessions, will attempt to match how you position your back in this video. Thanks.

I-m glad to find Redefining Strength-s input on the deadlift. While people like Cailer Wollam, Eddie Hall, and Andy Bolton have a lot of useful things to say, their focus is on poundage, not on form. Everyone can stand to improve their form, and Redefining Strength shows. yes, shows. you how to do that.

I know this is one exercise nearly everyone should be doing. I-ll watch this video a couple more times before my nest back/bicep workout. Years ago, I recall reading about two versions in which one showed straight leg. I'm glad you gave an explanation of why to bend your knees slightly. Thanks again.

Hi Ms. Corey! I just did my first sumo deadlift with a mixed grip for 5 sets (15, 12, 10, 8, 6) the lower reps the more heavier. After my session, I had lower back pain for 3 days but I can walk normally. Is that normal?

What do you mean -push the ground away-? I'm having trouble wrapping my head around that. Do you mean we have to imagine the barbell being stationary and we're using that to push the ground away?
reply

Ques: what is the point of mixed grip? What is the advantage of it? For DLs that are done in multiple rounds, do lifters using mixed grip change grips between hands when moving to the next round?

Damn you're good! This was done so well that if I ONLY had the audio I'd still be able to execute with proper form. Your coaching style leaves no room for error, & you passion is infectious!

I really like all of your videos, but those with your explanations of how to do exercises correctly and healthy I love the most! You are such a great instructor! Thank you for your work!
