Jamaican food is one of the best parts of visiting Jamaica and any tourist information would not be complete without an in depth description and recommendation list for all the great food that Jamaica has to offer. From the spicy jerk chicken and jerk pork, to ackee and saltfish to bammy and festival there are so many treats to have in Jamaica that you will love every bite

KFC! It's a must when in Jamaica. Jamaican KFC is like no other. it's more flavorful, less greasy and you can choose from original, spicy or barbecue. In Jamaica, they dont cook on Fridays so dont try and get KFC on a Friday night.
On the topic of Rum, ask for a shot of Jamaican Rum Cream in your morning coffee great way to start the day.
If you want good jerk chicken and/or pork off the resort try Scotchies they have patties too.
If you can make it into the Montego Bay market you can get some really good fresh coconut and sugarcane - mangos and all other fruits too.

I went and didnt leave the resort but i was always talking to all the staff and cooks while all the other guests were doing excursions or drinking. By my 5th day there, the staff were making me their favourite dishes that the resort never offered. Greatest food ever. Lol they loved how much I loved all the food. I had such a great time.

Thank you for coming to my homeland. I am happy that you enjoyed our cuisine and the people. But you forgot one thing. you havent tried sweet potato pudding, coconut drops and dukunu. On your next trip, be sure to ask around for it.

I'm Jamaican and i don't like Ackee and Saltfish. Told my mom don't ever put that in fron of me again. A lot of us Jamaicans aren't friendly to our own native food. Give me some Callaloo and Saltfish and fried dumplings and the plate is clean

You are insane. Jamaica is a violent island and people are advised to stay on their hotel compound for safety. Sadly it is an island where life is cheap, violence is rife and killing an everyday occurrence. Steer well clear

Curried goat? Never had it, but totally want to try that now! Love Liam's Hey-those-aren't-eggs reaction. And watermelon juice is a seriously underrated treat; especially when it's hot out.

Hi, can you please tell me the address of these places? Specifically the address of the fried chicken and where you ate the oxtail. Going there this weekend and they look delicious
Thank you.
