Onboard Delta Air Line's BRAND NEW A330neo Delta One

I flew Delta One (Business Class) on Delta Air Lines' brand new Airbus A330neo. In this video, I showcase the Delta A330neo's seat, brand new inflight entertainment, incredible food, and everything else about this flight from Seattle to Shanghai. Delta's A330neo is new in many ways. Of course, the A330 offers incredible fuel savings, but Delta also used the aircraft as a way to introduce a new version of their Delta One Suite that accommodates the fact that the A330 has a more narrow airframe than the A350 or 777, which also have the Delta One Suites. I was also invited to participate in an event for the media celebrating Delta's A330neo! I got the chance to board the plane early

It would have made far greater sense for Airbus to abandon the A330 mod project, and just focus on the A350XWB project, instead. Now that we are where we are now though at this point with the A330neo project, the Airlines should be pressuring Airbus for steep discounts on the 330neo, and make some deal where they could maybe exchange their existing regular A330 fleet in for the 330neo. The 330neo is obviously a much better aircraft than the earlier, original variant, and there's really no further need to keep the older model around, flooding the market.

I really like Jebs vids. Always fascinated at how positive and happy he is. Jeb I was a little disappointed at the beginning of this vid when you mentioned the amazing wing and outstanding power plants that make this aircraft the success that it is. You failed to say that those amazing engines are Rolls Royce Trent 7000. I was grateful that the First Officer mentioned Rolls Royce. I choose Delta ahead of British Airways for trans Atlantic. An American Airline that chooses Airbus with Rolls Royce engines ahead of Boeing with GE always gets my cash,

I have flown from Hawaii to Japan, Twice in a B767 (JAL/ANA, once in a A330 (Hawaiian. I like how big the A330 is compared to the 767. I am thinking of using Delta on my next trip to Japan. The flight is cheaper and it arrives earlier in the afternoon rather than the evening. I wonder if Delta is planing to put the A330 neo on those flights in the future. I know its currently still a 767. Hawaiian did not have any problems filling the A330 my last trip, delta can make more money especially with the Neo vs 767 with the savings on fuel.

The A330neo is my personal favorite widebody. The narrowest cabin possible with side by side LD3 container capability. Such efficient use of space. I'm traveling on Air Greenlands A330 800 neo this Sept, as a matter of fact. I can't wait, but I'm expecting possibly the least 'flashest' A330 cabin around, being very much a 'service' airline for Greenland. I may well be surprised! Glad you enjoyed your A330 900neo experience.

The Delta One cabin on the A330-900neo and the 767-400 seems so bland, color-wise. The A350 has the red cubby hole that really adds a pop of color to the cabin, and looks nice. I dont understand why they didnt do that on the A339 and the 764. Dont you think? Also, why doesnt the 764 have doors on the suites? I get that the cabin is narrower than the A339 and A350, but really, how much space does a thin, sliding door take up?

A low tech but supriicingly effective improvment is that they moved everything up to the rear bulkhead. Giving the aircraft two meter exta lengt that is to narrow and low for seating, but perfect for the new improved galley.
The interior designers have done a lot to use every single cubic meter if space
Also something as simple as redesigning the seats give two extra rows of of them.

Whilst I understand that having a narrow entry and exit to the seat could take some getting used to, for the first time an airline hasn't sacrificed seat comfort for profit, rather equipped the aircraft with different catering trolleys so passengers can enjoy the same amount of space as the A350 and 777, and personally i think thats more commendable than detrimental.

Thank you for such a thorough review! I will be flying Delta One on the A330neo for the first time ever soon! The other direction it's the A330-300, not as good but I'll look to see if you have reviewed that one too for any tips!

Shame that the Delta clubs are only for One now, because many of us don't have access to flights with a One class, and you pay for First and get turned away at the club.

Really hope that I can experience the neo one day. Glad that my country currently has the second largest Neo fleet with 11 in operation, spread out across 3 airlines

Funny thing about FAA:
1. They dont certify the damn remote-controller.
2. But they certify faulty planes such as 737 max without any proper inspections.

Why would u give in business class garbage quality water like dasani
Give fiji water or iceland water or some spring alkaline water
Is business class guys

5 star for catering is over rated because this is a US carrier. Your previous business class experiences with foreign carriers should be rated 6 and half stars then.

cool but I hate the black paint around the cockpit windows on the new airbus planes, I think it looks like they are trying to hard to be futuristic

0: 16 Lol, that's the exact opposite of how the A220-300 inaugural. I was going to photograph it up in SLC and then it didn't fly that day.

The cabins in business class should be more higher or private
And tv should have the privacy screen
I love this business class

I love that you took a beauty shot of the wine opener. And that it took me more than a few seconds to realize what it was.

This is so long overdue. Foreign airlines have had these features long long ago. However, kudos to Delta for being so proactive.
