This South African Airways A320 Business Class flight took place on 14 February 2020, before the major current travel disruptions. Here's a video with my thoughts on that situation: This video about South African Airways A320 Business Class is as much a preview of my South African A350 flight to New York as anything. That said, before I post that video, I'll be sharing a bit more from my time at my ultimate destination: St. Helena. Because I started in Cape Town, I had to make my way over to Johannesburg and what better way than with South African Airways A320 Business Class? South African Airways A320 Business Class service between Cape Town and Johannesburg showcases the airline's approach to domestic business class service. I had the chance to experience it on 14 February 2020. On this flight, I explored the lounge in Cape Town, the seat, the food, the inflight entertainment, and the service aboard South African Airways A320 Business Class. I had no expectations for South African Airways or their A320 Business Class because this was my first time flying with them. It wasn't the last! Soon, I'll be posting a video of my experience on their flagship from Johannesburg to New York! Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss that video. or my upcoming Airlink flight to St. Helena!

I agree re Capetown Jeb and the waterfront area is a great spot to watch the Tablecloth come and go over Table Mountain. hope you had a chance to visit Robben Island while you were there where Nelson Mandela and so many others were sent to the prison? Pretty good flight and well done as always. Looking forward to the next chapter with relish! Its a crazy world at the moment Jeb so take care when you are out and about. and I have no idea what those little boxes actually do. other than take up a bit of foot room! Well done mate!

I was in Cape Town in 2017. Back then they were still using the a340 between Jfk and Jnb and CPT and JNB. That flight from New York feels brutal because of the massive amount of time it takes. Glad they upgraded to an A350, the old business class on the a340 was really dated and not really worth the money. The food I found was pretty good because there was fresh fruit.

I will below wing for a major US airline. I still love how we are able to get all our jobs done in such a short time. it's like a dance how all the different jobs are able to get in then out in such a small area working on planes.
Anyways, hope you had a wonderful trip and hope you are not stranded anywhere with this crazy times we are going through right now

Hi Mr Brooks,
Cant wait to see what you've put together about your flight and time on St. Helena Island in the South Atlantic ocean. It's the home place of my parents! Looking forward to your video. Thank you! A gem in the middle of the S. A. OCEAN! X

Jeb, I've been watching your videos for quite some time. Just out of incredible curiosity. What do you do for a living that you are flying all over the world to all these exotic locations? At first I assumed you sold grass seed. LOL

YESS finally! I love this video soo much. sadly they canceled all of their international flights, but its good to hear that you made a video with their A350. because sadly I don't think this airline will last till the end of the year

With the big Network that luiz have, you could invest in his packs and make 10000 in a matter of days, i Im currently making profit. I do appreciate Luis he is a genius and you can actually trust him to handle your trade /:

While I usually love your content this video just wasn't up to your usual level. It seemed rushed and you concentrated on other flights during this one. It seemed like a big commercial for your future videos.

Those dang blasted boxes are supposed to be IFE boxes that contain the wires and memory and other functionality things for the IFE. I honestly have no idea why they are there if there isnt an IFE screen

SAA used to fly a 747 between JNB and CPT in 1987. I was only 12 when I took the flight. I had an economy seat assignment but I snuck up to business class and took a seat. No one noticed LOL

It is really nice to see someone that can see over the crime and corruption of South Africa and still absolutely love this awesome country. I hope that more people come to enjoy the culture.

Excellent video, as always! Can't wait for the St. Helena video, as I recently watched a documentary on the building of the airport. Cape Town looks delightful!

United Airlines has a similar solution to Inflight Entertainment on their 777-200s. Instead of a slot where you put your device, United has actual clamps.

I've always thought those boxes were something that put off heat, weather for passenger benefit or just mechanical heat dissipation.
reply

Your kidding. I just watched Wendover Productions video on St Helenas airport. Now I get to see a trip report to it! Yay!
reply

The boxes might be something to do with the electronics in the seat. Such as seat controls and usb/power ports.

Might want to edit the Cape Town - JoBurg in the thumbnail. Its the other way around in this video. JNB-CPT
