Wideroe E190-E2 Review: CRAMPED, UNCOMFORTABLE, DISAPPOINTING! Roberto: I find some of the comments really weird. Let's ask a few questions: Is the aeroplane safe? Is it well built? Is it technologically advanced? Is it noisy or silent? Are the landing gears strong, well engineered? Are the wings efficient? Is the aircraft fuel efficient? Do the pilots like to fly the aircraft? Is it easy to and economical to maintain? Does Embraer provide a good after-sales service? What is the general feeling of the crew members about the aircraft? Are the companies happy with the aircraft? Is the interior pleasant? Is the general feeling regarding the choice of materials for the interior good, acceptable or poor? Are the lavatories, considering the size of the aircraft, good, acceptable or poor. There are many questions to be answered and to be asked. Now, when I hear anyone criticizing legroom or misalignment of windows as being the manufacturers fault? I get really upset. Embraer has a fantastic safety record and a bunch of great engineers sweating their butts to bring a great product to market and they are very successful at that.
Legroom, choice of materials for seats, window alignment, onboard entertainment, cleanliness and crew services are down to the OWNERS of the equipment!

1. Comfort totally depends on the air company! is not an opinion! Is a fact! The companies decides the configuration and model of the acents. So, the airline company is blamed by the lack of space for your legs! Not the aircraft!
2. E2 and A220 has different proposals and both are awsome in their segments! However, for the companies what really matter is the relation between the demand of the air-route and the capacities of the aircraft(economical and technical. In the case of economic flights you can calculate how much your comfort is relevant for the airline companies VS cost.

Its actually the airlines choice, not embraers fault, because for example wideroe has chosen that configuration because they are low-cost. but other airlines, Such as azul have much wider seats that are not tight, ive flown with azul e195 that is similar to the new e190-E2 and i had a whole palm and more 2 fingers of leg space (considering im 13 and 1. 48cm of height. So its not a bad plane. just the airline seat configuration that was bad in wideroe case.

I have usually enjoyed my trips (only within USA) on Embraer jets, including newer ones like this. But you're right, the seats on my United Express flights seem similar to this and they are barely padded at all. And that is rough on your butt and back when you're not very able to stand up and walk around. I don't think they're disallowed have you ever considered bringing a little seat cushion on one of these flights to see if it helps?

I agree with many other people who commented here. You criticize the E-190-E2 rather than the the actual culprit - the airline. An airplane is only as comfortable as the way the airline configures its seating. A 29 inch seat pitch and cramming 112 passengers onto an E-190 is not the airplane fault. You should have made this abundantly more clear in your video.

if you get a chance to take this flight again you really should! i took a flight with the e190 e2 when they first started service with wideroe and it was really uncomfortable.
then yesterday i took a flight on the same plane from london to bergen and ive gotta say its really improved! probably one of the most comfortable and enjoyable flights ive taken.

The E2 is junk. Embraer had their 15 minutes in the sun in the 2000s-2010s. They blew the E2 badly when your competitor has a cabin like a mainline airplane. The engines on this thing are bigger than the cabin width. Its a joke. Theres a reason why nobody is buying these things. Bombardier made an incredible airplane and Airbus gets to reap the rewards.

I'm looking to fly to Bergen this year since they will be flying fro LHR and I'm not sure what the situation is with Norwegian. Any news? Not too happy about the pitch though. From Bergen where did you go and have you done a report on the new airport?
reply

This guy problably is working to Bombardier or Airbus. They don't know what to do more to stop the growing of Embraer in world skyeis. My sugestion to him is, try to find a best job, looser!

Didnt realise how tall you are.
We flew that equipment 5 weeks ago and thought it very comfortable.
However, the tallest in our fam is 510.
Fair appraisal though sir!

You are a bit confusing: You seem to understand that the airline chose to cram as many seats as legally possible, but then you seem yo blame the aircraft manufacturer.

Im surprised by the seat pitch complaints. I was on this plane yesterday & sat Row 8, the first thing both of us commented on is how much legroom there was!
reply

Seat Map Guru says that Helvetic Airways has 110 seats in a 31-33 seat pitch in their Embraer E190 E2 jets. They should give you a more comfortabe ride.

The strange sounds the engines make are the pressure changes in the combustion area when thrust is being sent from idle to higher power settings.
reply

the sound this plane makes on taxi reminds me of a sound i hear daily, let me see, i think wait, I KNOW, ITS me getting up in the morning.
reply

it does not look comfortabel your better off haveing your own embaer PHENOM 600 comfortabel and has good lage room great video nole philips

I've never been on a comfortable regional jet, regardless of the manufacturer or the airline. That's just the nature of the beast.
reply

I dislike flying at the best of times. This would be an ordeal for me, and I'm not getting paid for it, but the exact opposite.
reply

This guy works to Airbus? There's absolutely nothing wrong With Embraer E2. And each Airlines makes his seat disposition.
reply

The perfect exemple as how to ruin a real nice airplane reputation to get more profits for the shareholders.
