I am looking for some advice from anyone who is familiar with the CDT. My friends son is a sobo hiker and is looking to finish the trail at the end of this month. My friend is going to pick up her son and she is very nervous about the area. She has been told that the end of the trail has very limited cell service and could be dangerous. People have told her she should not drive into the area alone. Is this true? Any suggestions?

So I wanted to explain the colour change. many red pigments are only red in low pH solutions. I assume that your Nuun had been in your bottle for some time. The CO2 gassed off, the pH increased and the pigment lost its colour. Think of it like a litmus strip!

For any adventurous person who happens to read this, Caltopo is great for planning hikes. Multiple map sources, ability to estimate distances and elevation gain, and many more features. Much better than paper maps for planning (I print up my final map set off Caltopo to have a paper map while out on the trail.

Hey Wunderlust, What camera did you use the most to do your videos? your iPhone, or one of the cameras? did you use your stabilizer often? I am looking to purchase a camera and stabilizer for my own videos but would like some feedback on what ended up working for you. Thanks!

Episode 23 looks like it is set to private. :( I have enjoyed watching you hike thru my beautiful state. Great job and if you aren't already done, I'm sure you will make it! I would have delivered some trail magic to you if I could have caught you. Next time!

I have the same hat and the only thing I dont like about it is the way it looks all floppy and lopsided at times. But it's very light and well vented and folds down to nothing.

Do they have chiggers up there or anywhere on the trail? I went deer hunting last week and got tore up. I hope you guys avoid those little demons.
