Hey Alex, I drove the 3. 3 TT (slight turbo lag) for an entire weekend in Vancouver, Canada in Oct/18 and totally luved it except for: (a) the rear seats are small (b) The resale value & reliability concerns are HUGE (c) I found a huge vibration when cornering - could be the brake vectoring. BUT - The price point, the maintenance included, the valet service that I received was top notch, that engine was put thru its paces and handled it very well, huge amounts of torque (I enjoy to drive spiritedly when safe to do so- Very very happy with that engine & transmission, many Drive Modes, great sound system and all the safety features. I used that right pedal and my mileage took a big hit. I also drove on eco mode on a highway trip for 100 kms and got 12. 6/100 kms. The comparable cars will set you back 15K for similar features and options. Its 57, 500 Cdn plus taxes for the 3. 3TT version. No extra fees, at all. I like the looks. My tester had the Blue ext with Red Brembos, dark wheels along with the black & red int. That quilted interior is gorgeous. Lets talk about the VALET service - If you want a test drive they bring the car to you. If you buy it they deliver your new vehicle on a flat bed truck to reduce any additional mileage, when you need servicing (all included for 5 years) they come to you to pick up and after service they deliver it to you. No additional charges. 5 yrs maintenance costs included. Here in Vancouver they are working on a track days program for customers and they do have rally days currently. Really it has every feature that you want AND the drive, sportiness, turning radius, that GORGEOUS interior & that ENGINE. WOWCheers from Vancouver, Canada.

I think Hyundai has done a great job with the G70 but my biggest problem is finding a dealer near me. Hyundai has messed up big time with the dealer network. I am 50 miles outside the 2nd largest city in the US (or from the city line. Here I have a dealer for every car brand locally, and a 2nd one usually within 20 miles. For a Genesis dealer I have to drive 70+ miles into the city, or to an adjacent state 80 miles out. Also because these dealers are not really competing with each other, they are not dealing much on the G70. If the car needs service or maintenance I would have to drive 70-80 miles each way? Not me. I am sure others have it worse, or have no Genesis dealer in their state (I have 2 that are 275 miles apart. Hyundai screwed up big time. They should have let the Hyundai dealers sell the Genesis brand until they got a much bigger Genesis dealer network in place. What they did makes no sense and I am sure hurt their sales #s. Serious buyers are only getting POd, and there was no need for it. Its almost like Hyundai launched a Beta program and are testing the waters before they improve the dealer network.

I had anxiously awaited the arrival of the 3. 3 Genesis G70 AWD -fully equipped model all during the Spring of 2018, then the Summer of 2018, then the Fall of 2018. One problem after another. They jerked the Hyundai dealerships around and delay after delay. I finally received an email from Genesis that the car was available however I would have to travel a minimum fifty miles to test drive and ultimately buy. There are a handful of Hyundai dealers between my house and the closest dealer to have the G70 AND they were only made available a few weeks ago. Nothing like buying a brand new car in NY in December -so close to Winter season. For a car manufacturer who wanted to lock and load onto BMW and Audi this was a very disorganized way to go about business. So now I will wait until the BMW 3 series hits the dealers and see if the car has been upgraded enough for me to buy after all I have waited this long. About two weeks ago I was notified by a local Hyundai dealer that they had gotten a few G70s in but none of the few that arrived were the 3. 3 AWD with every option. Too little -too late. Nice job Genesis

Why does everyone always compare to BMW? I understand they created and benchmark the Sports Sedan category. But, Audi Sports holds that title now I actually owned a 325 new. When I got it home on its maiden voyage the lights wouldnt go off? I had to pull the fuse on a brand new car? That was 1986 Today they use even more plastic in their engine bay? Theres a real concern about their reliability? Not to mention SHC = spontaneous human combustion car style? When everything is working as intended, they drive like a dream No doubt. But, when they dont they can become money pitsEvery car drives by its design new There use to be a long-term segment as far as ownership that use to matter? What happened? At the end of the day, value is what makes a fine automobile worth its asking price and praise. Im leaning strongly towards this G70 3. 3 over the Germans. Its time to stop acting like BMW is the one. Personally, I think its mostly cultural bias hype that can no longer compete honestly. Imho Great video though Thx

Really enjoyed the review of the G70 today, excellent details with market comparisons Personally, like your comment at the end, I prefer sedan or sport sedan over crossover or SUV, so I was elated that Genesis designed and built this car Living in Washington State we are awaiting for completion of contract Genesis Dealer Network to resolved, even now at January 7th of 2019. This last March 2018 my son and I went up to Vancouver BC International Car show to see this amazing car. Just the seating position and comfort of the drivers seat along with everything else pretty much sold me on the car. I am waiting till this December 2019 to purchase, hopefully I can accomplish the purchase here in Washington, however if need be I will go to Henderson, Nevada or Las Vegas to do so at that time. Our local Deal in Skagit Valley has promised me that this will happen I should be have been born in the show me state in stead of else where Cheers, John

This is why it is cheaper. Look at that infotainment. So ugly and outdated and low quality. Much low rent than BMWs new 3 series infotainment and Mercedes MBUX. Its things like this that make a huge difference. Its clearly a Hyundai which gives it no premium feeling. If these manufacturers want a premium or luxury brand then they should at least use bespoke items inside and better technology. This Genesis is pretty simple and so last generation of current German competition. Adding leather, sat nav and a turbo engine does NOT make it premium or luxury. For example, Genesis gives you a reverse camera standard maybe but the quality of the image it displays is crap. So the Germans will give you a camera but they will only put the best one there even if it is optional. The point is that theyll use the best they can. Genesis can be compared to Acura and Infiniti and Lincoln but in no way the Germans.

I am very intrigued by the G70, it ticks most of my boxes for replacing my beloved BMW 128i manual that I love but after 8 years is becoming a little to unreliable for my daily commute and I would love a bit more room for the kids (doing the kids to school every morning. My top priority is no compromise on fun to drive: the 128i is a seriously fun car that still makes me smile every day and I need that. Test drove the Giulia to, love it but the 4 cylinder feels like a downgrade, not in performed but in soul and sound compared to the I-6 (with BMW performance exhaust. The 340i is out: boring styling, horrendous steering and the 2019 will be way too pricey. The G70 strikes me as the perfect compromise with the V6 (wish it came in manual and I really dont want the 4 cylinder manual since I want all the goodies, if only I could find one in Nashville

The only reason for me not to buy this car is because of the dealer situation - I have to drive over 200 miles to the nearest one. Otherwise this is my next ride if I can find the budget I currently drive an early 2009 Genesis with 265, 000 miles and its been almost perfect. Prior to that was a 2004 325i that I loved to drive, but hated to maintain. My only gripe with my 2009 Genesis was that it was too big - I preferred the smaller size and better handling of the 3, but love the Genesis interior, value equation and reliability, and this is the ticket. If I cant afford this Ill still get a Hyundai-Kia product, possibly one of the hybrids.

Cant buy them. I tried for over 12 months letting everyone at Genesis. com know that I wanted to purchase the G70, G80. the city I live in CNY does not have a Genesis dealer in 2018 but there are a few dealers within 100 miles, east, west and south from me. no one at the dealers were interested enough to even take my contact information. finally I had to tell myself if they do not want my business. fruit them. and I moved on. I hope they go bankrupt. their customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered in over 50 years of buying vehicles here in the USA. fruit them forever

From what Ive read about the Genesis line, a couple of years ago, Hyundai had promised the Genesis line to the Hyundai dealers. Then Corporate reniged on that promise and told those dealers If you want Genesis, youll have to make a Stand Alone building, with all of the departments within. The U. S. Genesis Group do NOT have their stuff together, considering there are less than 50 dealerships and 500 2019 Genesis vehicles in the U. S. In comparison, Canada and the Middle East has been selling the 2018 and 2019 G70 models.
