When we get to the point solid state batteries can halve the weight of the pack in a Tesla then really there is no ICE car that'll ever get near them let's face it. I must also question the usefulness of the Koenigsegg. They add more and more power and make it more extreme but it's totally unusable power. You can't get it to the ground and you need to already be doing 100mph on a perfect surface before you can even plant your foot all the way to the floor. Honestly it would probably be more fun driving a less dangerous, much cheaper car with 1/3 the power.

Always said that the Drag Race is a non sense at all, it's something for 10 year old children. It's like to define who's the best soccer player by his ability to make goal by free kick. There are tons of other factors to consider. A Koenigsegg is by far better than the Tesla in a Race Circuit, Tesla is much more comfortable to drive, etc.

can that even beat a new turbo s sorry but how many millions for this hypercar i get it's tough to beat the electric cars. but 10. 2 that can't beat a 765, a turbo s, an sf 90 or even a 296. and they're off the rack supercars

I understand why they didn't use Model S. Then the Koenigsegg would also lost the breaktest!

Ive been watching agera for years and everyone knows there roll race car and dont really start to wake up until over 150mph. with that said this was so weird id launched well which never happens yet didint dominate the rolls like it should have. very weird run for the egg.

Even though it's a fantastic car, the Koenigsegg seems to behave like a heavily tuned car: it's quite fussy and when serious performance is asked it's issue-prone. We've seen it happen on Carwow so many times. It really shows how well-engineered Bugatti's and Porsches are.

When writing about the weight of the vehicles, did you take into account the fuel and the differences in the weight of the drivers The drivers themselves change the balance by some at least 70 kg. Anyway Koeinigsegg is overpower, not to mention the money.

I'd be pissed off if I spent 4M on a car that runs like shite. In this day and age not being able to launch it, change gears cleanly and having it constantly break down when it costs that much money is unforgivable. What a WOFTAM.

I was going to suggest Chiron super sport, now I am thinking the first gen Chiron vs Koenigsegg. Otherwise we are going to have 2 depressed hyper cars from the Chiron listen to the Koenigsegg complaining all day.

Teslas are an unreliable, poorly made one trick pony! Now that proper car manufacturers (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc) are making EVs I don't understand why anyone would even consider a crappy Tesla

So we learned Teslas are easier cars. If you like easy mode buy Tesla. If you want hard mode and put some money into economy buy expensice ICE brand you can brag about having. Dont lease it tho, that's pathetic.

Not realy a surprise here. Tesla's main selling point is acceleration. Konnigseg is buit mainly for top speed with rather long gear ratios and rwd, so basicaly it's caught off guard in these type of races.

The PLAID produces 1000 BHP the moment you floor the throttle, and continues to produce 1000 BHP power throughout the race, whereas the Egg produces 1300 BHP only at peak RPM. That's the difference.

Haha, that was great fun! Thanks for having us again, Carwow. I suspect the car wasn’t running 100% power because of the exhaust issue, so we'll have to bring it back for more races once it's fixed!

Koenigsegg isn’t a real car just like Pagani. Purely for status and showing off, nothing wrong with that but this Tesla really made it look like the overpriced piece of shit it really is
