Ok. im a evo guy all the way but, i'll try to point out the factsfirst ofEvos: they break a lot but from my experience its mainly caused by the drivers but they have their flaws aslo i thnik that evos are harder to work on but that can be good for someone stis: they have big problem with headgaskets atleast the older generations. i dont think that their awd system is as good as mitsubishis one but thats only my opinion In the and i dont think that they are as big enemies as people say. ok they can compete that is true but i think that evos and stis are only cars of this kind whitch makes the kind of brothers i also wouldnt be ashamed of owning an sti both are great cars. i presonally think its about what you prefer.

Well rip the wrx from here forward because without competition, they'll just get heavier, slower, and more luxury features. It always happens when cars lose competition, and we're already seeing the newer wrx's get worse. If anything that alone makes the evo the massive winner overall. Just because the name is carrying over to a different vehicle doesn't mean anything, thats just a name and doesn't take anything away from the 4wd rally bred sports car.

lots of Lancer owners are Idiots. The Base Lancer is only front-wheel drive, yet still many people buy them and then go on dirt roads spinning the fronts while claiming their driving it the way it was meant to be driven. If I was going to buy either I would swap a K-series. And in that case, I'm more likely to find an STI with a blown EJ, and they are well known for having indestructible drivetrain.

Mitsubishi, if you bring back the Lancer Evo as a crossover you are going to ruin your brand. You already have enough crossovers; you don't need anymore. Hell, make it an evO (electric vehicle EVO) and keep it a car body with a wagon variant, but don't make another crossover; or you know, DONT CALL IT A LANCER. Call your new crossover a Pajero or something else.

In order for the evo to become truly legendary it had to die. I work for a Subaru dealer in Maine, I have had the privilege to drive a lot of stis and wrxs and a lot of other makes. But the one car that was always a pleasure to drive was a 2012 eco gsr in blue. Awesome car someday I'll own one.

One thing that's never mentioned. U. S. EVO's 7-9 kept in rally specs by having a 2. 0L engine, while the U. S. STI went with a 2. 4L engine, with a 20-29 hp difference between the two depending on the model. At the time, the 4G63 had the highest HP to liter ratio on a production vehicle.

It might be a cool idea to do a mini series where you do this type of video and make a bracket it out of it You could do a jdm legends bracket, suv bracket, N/A car bracket etc. You could do fan votes too to see how many each cars get each episode to compare your results in the fandom

I always thought the Lancer Evolution was faster than the WRX STi. But I suppose it was a subconscious reflex because the exhaust sounds for the Flat 4 sound lazy and sluggish. But in actuality it belies the cars performance. Both are great cars. But I miss the Evo.
