The Dodge Challenger comes in about a million specs, you have the RT, SRT Hellcat, an AWD version and of course the Skat Pack. But above all Dodge Challengers is the Demon, the 840 HP road legal wheelie poppin Challenger But for the guys and gals at SpeedKore this was not enough. They stripped the Dodge Challenger Demon of its very heavy body panels and created space grade fully custom carbon fiber panels to help the Demon become more nimble. And they also did what no one would even consider doing they ditched the infamous Dodge Supercharger After the SpeedKore mods the Demon became the Dodge Lucifer and today we're taking a look at the incredible technology that made it possible

Hey there, really cool video and absolute monster of a car. The only thing I am not really sure of, and it really Id just a finesse but I am really bored and very much quarantined, is the difference between wet and dry CF. As far as I know the term dry refers to the non impregnated version, so the fibre comes to you under the shape of a woven fabric with no resin. On the other hand wet is used to refer to the pre-preg versione, as it already has the resin put in. An interesting fact is that CF expires. If not kept at roughly -20C the resin starts to harden and it will loose its properties. Outside of a refrigerator it has a life of about a day before it is considered ruined. In top level applications, as Jeremiah said we never really see dry carbon fibre but it comes in handy when you have to make an urgent repair. For instance I am part of a formula student team and last year the chassis broke the night before the race so they had to fix it overnight using the dry CF that, as I said, does not have the same problem when to comes to stocking as the wet one. I am sorry for the time I stole you and if you liked comment why dont you leave a thumbs up. Cheers from Italy

actually, I know the show must go on. New section of the show must go on with new Reporters. But, if breaking ice, showing courtesy, or reflection on self-pride-and-prejudice over some issue, it would be great to invite Bart Bidlingmeyer as regular GUEST for the show science garage like once a month. it's not good to see how year of cooperation break from just a slight, but perceived big issue. We know Bart has new job and idea. Yet, his mark in Donut Media is there in Donut fans. Doing once in one or two month show would be a great courtesy of how people in Donut see and go along with previous report as respect of contribution. We know that the team is full of big boys, but sometimes, a downplay of pride would be a great rewards of courtesy

7: 37 using fiberglass as a backing is very common, it simply acts as a layer of protection to the carbon fiber, and using just one layer of carbon fiber is fine considering its not a load bearing piece, adding more carbon fiber just adds weight and cost where its not needed. and vacuum bagging works plenty well for many applications. just because theres a really fancy way to do something doesnt mean all other ways of doing it are bad.

I'm so glad that carbon fiber is attainable again. A decade ago, it is impossible to get anything except for throw-away cloth. It was all earmarked for making super-planes that no one turned out to want. The answer to the question of where do I get carbon fiber to make my own panels? was wait about 5 years for the new carbon-fiber manufacturing plant to come online. lawl.

You can purchase body parts from speedcore online, and have been looking at replacing the 1/4s etc on my SRT8 as well. There are no prices and says to call for details, so you know that it's going to be expensive. You're not going to find quality in China, and is just the opposite of speedcore. Almost everything that they make is junk, and pretty much disposable

Edison did not invent the lightbulb. Stop the BS. Actually, by the time Edison started working on it, the light bulb had been around for a long time, just in a different form, DeGraaf explained. About 20 inventors from across the world had drafted various patents on it.

I bet this one can run at least 9s The regular stock Dodge Demon is known as being a complete failure, not living up to its expectations. Customer cars run low 10s at BEST, with the vast majority running mid and even high 10s in standard weather. Very disappointing.

Raw carbon fiber is NOT brittle or stiff in the slightest. It's friggen cloth. You can fold it in half and stomp on the fold and it'll be undamaged. It's the resin that's brittle. The resin is just there to make the part hold its shape.
