96 Toyota t100 the OBD scan code is coming up P0753 which is a transmission control solenoid. I was debating taking it to a transmission shop. they wanna charge me about 1000 bucks. and really the only reason Im considering is bc I need to get my check engine light shut off to pass emissions (automatic fail if the light is on where I live) and thats the only trouble code coming up. now the surrounding counties dont require an emissions test for registration so I was trying to figure if there was someway i could register it in another county? If anyone knows how to cheat the DMV or if its worth the fix let me know I appreciate the insight

Had a 2012 Corolla S. the Auto Tranny started to go out at 65k miles. shifts between 2nd and 3rd were clunky or hard. sometimes the gears would slip of accelerating from a complete stop on a slight incline then slam into gear. The fluid would smell like burnt celery after a 25 - 30 min drive. This generation corolla was the last one to have the Auto tranny before they switched to CVT only. either thats a failing tranny or possibly an engine performance issue? any input Scotty

Hey Scotty Kilmer, love your channel Question for you if you are still out there. My 2001 Toyota 4Runner blew a head gasket. We replaced the old engine with another lower mile one. Fast forward 200 miles, the check engine light, the VSC light and one other light came (back) on. And the transmission slips maybe one or two times a day while driving. The slipping is new. Took the car back today for them to check things out. Suggestions? Thanks and love the show Geoff San Diego

Back when I got my 2013 Toyota Camry SE a few years ago, it would shudder around 40 mph. The dealer I got it from thought it was the tires and gave me a new set of tires for free. Still shuddered around 40 mph. I did some research and found out it was the torque converter. Thankfully, there was a recall on it and it still had the powertrain warranty in effect. So I got a new torque converter, a 2000 job for free

Scotty saved me from not only a transmission rebuild but also a radiator replacement. Trans was slipping on load. Engine was overheating on load. Radiator guy said I needed a new radiator. Trans guy, well. Almost went for both til Scottys video. Problem was misfiring because of a bad ignition wire. 29 later, when I changed the wires, the radiator and transmission problems VANISHED Scottys the GREATEST

Same thing happen to a co worker. I warned him. charged him for 1800 for a transmission job. He never changed the transmission. Just a sensor. When I told him like the transmission was never touched he went back. the mechanic would never say he did change the transmission but that he would fix it again from warranty. Co worker thought he paid him to fix it. basically paid 1800 for nothing

I just got a 2006 Saturn Vue for 500. 00 because the seller was convinced the transmission was bad. I test drove it, being a honest guy, I told him it was the rear wheel bearing, he laughed and said buyer beware. Yeah its GM, but it has the Honda 3. 5L V6 and runs great. I replaced said bearing, dont tell Richard I pretty much stole a clean, great running vehicle I fixed for 110. 00

Hey scotty, I have a question, I have a 2017 v6 8 speed auto camaro, i recently went from a dual exhaust muffler (2. 25in) to a quad tip muffler from a SS camaro (2. 75in) all i changed was the muffler suit case, but now i noticed that my rpms kinda bounce and i can hear my engine kinda fluctuate even when im holding the same speed, any idea what could be the cause?
