Avoid This Car Like the Plague Fauna: Scotty, I've listened to you for many years and you've taught me how to work on my own car and save me a lot of money. Thank you so much!
Hate going to stealerships, with their recommended services. But not required. I got quoted for a new water pump and rear main seal for 3000+ a year later, I don't have any leaks and my water pump is fine.

I just brought a 08 Expedition EL figured it has the F150 Engine so it's a good truck but, my problem is it developed the steering wheel shutter at 60mph I looked it up and said it could be a warped rotor but, it also happened at low speed stopping at a stop sign. So I'm dreading the transmission but, now I found out to check the fluid this massive truck has to be jacked up to get to this 5 inch plastic stick. The most basic maintenance any novice car owner should be able to do is service the fluids! I do some top of the engine jobs. Im not doing this! Lol

Actually Scotty, KIA models here in europe are a lot more reliable than the US models, they don't have those electronic, engine or transmission problems like the ones in the US, i used to own an 2013 Optima 1. 7 CRDi, it had the diesel engine, i had it since 2013 and never had any problems with it, i sold it in 2018 and bought an 2014 Camry XLE V6, yes i know a lot of people will say that Toyota is more reliable than KIA and i do agree but in Europe KIA is reliable as Toyota here, i love my Camry but i do miss my Optima after all.

I agree, I had a 2014 Santa Fe and it was crap. But Scotty. what about Toyota/Lexus and their current class action lawsuit regarding their faulty fuel pump. They've known since at least 2015 and they STILL don't have a fix. I don't know if I would consider even a Toyota or Lexus now. I don't want my car stalling out while on the highway. or not have it start at all.

I don't have a Kia but I do have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. Luckily I've never had any issues with my own vehicle (I baby it) but I have never had a car with soo many recalls because of this same engine. I think Its at 13 recalls now. Some ridiculous number. Once my warranty is up I'm getttinf rid of it A. S. A. P.

My '19 Tucson that I bought new currently has 12k miles but the engine feels like it has over a 150k miles. So noisy and rattly. Could there be a chance that they recycled the engine parts or something? I already did 3 oil changes and took it to the dealer a few times to look at it but they said it's normal -_-

As much as I like Kia, the Optima & the K5, the hybrid variant of the Optima's of & around that year, were bad, Sonata's too. However, it's obvious why people spent 500 more for these than the Prius. The Optima is a much bigger car, in a higher class as well, compact vs midsize.

You may be right about the Prius being better than the Kia, but the Prius in real world driving doesn't get near the published MPG. I think its just a scam to make tree huggers pay a premium for a compact car. Its not even that green the way the batteries are made.

The solution to fix this car is to open the hood. pull down your pants. and piss inside instead of putting oil. Do the same with the gas. Just use your piss and the car would be good as new.
That's what I think about this car, it's a piss-bag.

Scotty, I have a problem with my well built (not Kia garbage) ford 4. 9 straight 6. I just replaced the pcv valve and now I lose about a quart or more in 20 minutes of driving. Anything that jumps out at you as a common problem? Thanks
