I have a 07 scion tc It was my first car and haven't got another since. Bought it at 93k miles and now have 152k miles. I've owned it for around 7 years now and let me tell you it has been very good to me. It's only been in a shop a few times for little things like oil change and that rubber liner thing for the head gasket which was 35. It burns oil now for sure but it's either due to mileage or what scotty said a few videos ago on the piston rings were not made right. started acting slightly weird around 145k. But the quality of this toyota it keeps on going. I'll wait until the engine blows until I get another vehicle.

Earlier this year, I test drove a 2016 Scion tc with 60, 000 miles (100, 000 km) for 10, 125 USD ( 13, 500 CAD. Blue, leather interior, automatic, reasonably clean, only had one fender bender.
It rode very well, but it felt too much like an ordinary car. I've rented enough ordinary cars over the years that it wasn't something I really wanted during the pandemic.

Well I down shifted my old Morris Major [BMC B series car] from 3rd to reverse on 3 occasions, no noise when going into reverse, did not let off the clutch, thank God, Immediate strain on gears must have been out of this world, instant reversal of direction of clutch plate not recommended. Great advert for strength of gear box.

Had one just like that, 2012 w/the 2. 5 liter Camry engine, loved it. Didn't get great mpg for a small car, 25 for suburban type driving, but that was about the only downside. Now have the Matrix, also a lot like Scotty's lol, 2010 with 1. 8 liter, pretty gutless in comparison but gets 34-35 mpg on the same type of roads

I own a cheap used car and it's got a double barrel carburetor and ignition points. The only printed circuits in it are behind the instrument cluster, heater controls and inside dashboard mounted clock. As long as it's got gas and a spark, it'll start, run and drive. And the best part about it? It s got air conditioning.

My wife had a lowered scion tc w/ 1inch steel spacers in the rear, all windows were tinted 10%. Had the computer tuned a bit but left everything else stock.
I had the most fun Iv ever had driving that car. Was a hell of a little 4 banger!
Miss that car. Got rid of it because we needed more room for a car seat.

Don t get mad, hi performance cars? it s the same 2AR-FE that ends up in the Rav4 '13 -'18 that you bought a few months ago. It's also the same engine that we find in the Camry of the pevious gen. . Maybe 3 hp over the 176hp of the Camry du to a less restricted & louder exhaust, Same 6 speeds auto too.

We had an '08 TC and had major oil burning (the notorious 2. 4) that started at around 72K miles. The rest of the car was ok, but felt very cheap when compared to my '07 Civic SI. I sold it last year and I still see it on the road around town. The interior noise was also very loud.

Owning a Scion is the best thing to buy. I wouldn t mind owning a tC model. I personally buy 2 more xB models before there excellent. And even tC2/2. 5 because there sharper, excellent handling, fun to drive, 6 speed manual, it s a must have Scion
