You're taking a woman's right away Her life/dreams. I feel like this would only make women commit suicide, the ability of not having the choice, many women already do self harm while being pregnant. Just imagine the rate at which this will go up. It's a constitutional right. at 6 weeks it's not even a baby - it's a group of cells that make heartbeat sounds - in which like you said most women don't find out until they're like two months if not further. Everybody is worried about not killing a baby when it's not even a baby yet it's f cells Making a responsible choice to be sure that you don't bring a life into this world that wasn't wanted/couldn't afford that has to go through the emotional/mental pain with you and understand how much it was it wanted. a kid feeling unloved is that any better? A kid starving, and feeling unwanted. in which most cases some of these kids are horrible people because they don't know what love is, never felt it, don't know how to receive it, don't know how to give it. Even to the women who take the precautions to not get pregnant like birth control are not 100% So in all honesty will it be any better? The reason people made the Constitution in the first place so that woman can find a safe & clean way of making this decision instead of some dark back way alley.

What's happening in Alabama is a travesty, but if people want to keep going backwards (as conservatives do) then we should let them. Alabama is currently ranked 44th for violent crime, 48th in poverty, 43rd in education, and 48th for healthcare. Just a reminder for international viewers, the U. S. only has 50 states. In just about every metric, Alabama is among the worst states you could ever have the misfortune to live in and this abortion ban if not stopped until it passes its legislative challenge will make all of these factors worse. The worst part is it will take several decades for the worst effects of this ban to be felt as it will take 15-20 years for these unwanted pregnancies to grow up as foster care/broken homes into our future violent criminals. This is not a controversial statement to any political scientist that specializes in crime. But for some reason Alabamans continually perpetuate policies that keep them among the most regressive, crime-ridden, impoverished, and ignorant communities within the U. S. It's really hard to feel bad for people suffering under the consequences of their own policies.

I am disappointed in San Francisco's decision. My personal view on government surveillance is that if you've nothing illegal to hide, then you need not worry. However, that is coming from someone who was born in a privileged position, with good mental health. So I am not susceptible to the desperation of poverty, nor the need for things such as weed. So I'm not sure I really get much of a say honestly. But, for what it's worth, I am a supporter of reasonable surveillance, with due oversight. Having said that, I am troubled by the statistic regarding women of color. By merit of that that alone, what WAS in place was clearly in need of better oversight and adjustment. But better oversight and adjustment POORLY translates into, let's just scrap the whole thing altogether. I suppose only time will tell if this ended up being the correct move. I'm inclined to believe otherwise. I hope I am wrong.

The jurisprudence on Roe v. Wade has nothing to do with abortion, it is all about privacy within your body. Abortion legalization is a part of that privacy. Therefore if Roe were completely overturned, anything that you want done to your body, or need to have done, could be outlawed by the states. Everything from piercings and tattoos to medical procedures would be viable to restriction by the states. For those who oppose abortion, that is the world you are trying to return us to, where you have no privacy within yourself. Privacy within the self is the reason why Roe should not, and probably will not ever be overturned as the justices know why Roe actually exists and no one wants to stand in front of the American people and say yes I am the justice who made the decision that allowed the state to tell you you can't get your ears pierced.

If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it. Before row v wade we had women dying and women getting sick from back-alley abortions we had a criminal element making money doing illegal abortions. we also have a bunch of unwanted babies coming into the world who may end up abused or stuck in foster care. If they get lucky the baby will get adopted but about 20 min from where I live is a children's home for kids no one seems to want to adopt they are not bad kids my daughters went to school with them it's just that they are not the cute cuddly babies every parent wants. this is a slippery slope where the only ones that truly pay the price are the poorer women of the state and our country because we all know that the rich making the dumbass laws will just leave the state/country and do what they want.

I've never been so afraid for the future of women. I believe the bill in Alabama will be a severe turning point for a lot of states, especially those in the south. As a native to Tennessee, I see a lot of varying opinions and more often than not those opinions agree with what is happening in Alabama. I disagree with ever molecule in my body. EVERYONE deserves the right to free choice. Equal rights for each individual choice should be presented to all people. You don't have to like abortion or agree with it but allowing the choice without being prosecuted for it makes all the difference. Allowing a SAFE choice to have an abortion or to have a baby allows for a more informed decision as to what will be best for that individual. Education, in this case, is key.

I don't know if the pro abortion (or anyone) will answer this but I am curious should there be a bill against men who masturbate (I know there is a woman trying to fine them 100 for preforming they can preform the act under specific situations) but should it be banned isn't that killing those babies everytime they um you know do the deed, I am really curious because aren't they technically alive just curious but I do think I pretty much know what everyone will say. Also can't the woman who want abortion just go elsewhere to get an abortion so what's the point? (I understand there are situations where they can't because of money or other means I am just saying it is dumb to even have the bill when they can get it elsewhere)

Mark these words: Making abortions illegal will not save millions of potential babies. It will kill millions of potential mothers. Abortions won't stop by making them illegal. It will just make the process more dangerous, because they will be handled by dodgy hospitals and doctors. There's a reason why there is an abortion law. It's to protect the women who do not want these babies. Because trust me: a desperate woman who does not want the baby that is inside her can take drastic measures to get it removed out of her body. The abortion law is to make sure these women have a safe environment that can make this proceeding go as smoothly as possible (while taking into account this still has a serious risk factor.

I'm not American In my country it isn't legal to have an abortion either. Ofc that doesn't stop them from happening, with all the risks that it involves. The national creed? How do you say it in English? Anyway my country through the constitution supports Catholicism so. yeah. If the people pushing the ban are radical vegans, I'd understand it. It'd make sense and be coherent, but I doubt that's the case. I'm really sorry for you guys Especially for the rape victims? Even in my shitty country we have exceptions for rape, incest and when the woman's life is at risk. I hope the US doesn't end up like my country. needless to say I live in the third world and no, I'm not kidding. I'm really sorry for you guys.
