Are we overlooking the biggest thing here? Drunk people can't consent. Intercourse without proper consent is rape. And again, because the video contained an under age girl, that makes it child porn. It's even been ruled that filming or photographing one's self while under age is child porn. Furthermore, it shouldn't matter whether the rapist has come from a good family or a broken one. It shouldn't matter if they have excellent grades or is a dropout. It shouldn't matter whether they could get into a good college or have a future as a garbage truck driver. Lady Justice is supposed to be blind; but then again, it wasn't Lady Justice on that bench, now was it? And the eyes of the law are human eyes. As such, justice will never be blind, and so long as those on the bench continue on the ways of antiquated thinking and bias, justice will never be truly served.

I have got to put this disclaimer first: I'M NOT DEFENDING THE RAPIST. My question though, where's the charge for under age drinking? They're both 16, right? Yes, the dude is a piece of shit, but that doesn't make the girl an angel. I'm not saying she asked for it, but she should know what she was getting into: getting illegally drunk at a party where adolescence hormone levels are through the roof. Yes he should be punished but she shouldn't go scotch free either. And if you say getting raped was her punishment then why punish the dude then? Sure nobody made him executioner but if you're not prosecuting her then please don't whine about leniency. They placed their bets and get what they get, no need to pretend the other side is innocent and get upset over 2 pieces of shit.

USA should implement an real ID (not your car license) and force people to use it when voting and making this kind of stuff. On the judge case, that stuff happens all the time. I saw a case where a women that almost killed her boyfriend did not went to jail because she was studding to be a doctor and had good grades. I also saw a drunk women that on second acident didn't went to jail because she was a women. The judge said to her that if she was a man she would already be in jail. I just remember also a case of a man stole millions from families that ddin't went to jail because he didn't kill anyone, just stole some money that return it in the end. Sometimes these judges are crazy

Okay so the guy is sixteen i think there is a case for 17 year olds on the verge of becoming an adult as being tried as an adult and you can clearly understand that he isnt even a mature individual he is definitely still a minor who doesnt understand the consequences that his actions bring he was drunk, wanted attention and he was incapable of understanding what effect his actions would have on people around him. obviously an asshole but he is still sixteen and isnt close to being an adult or showing the maturity of an adult

If Democrats have a political advantage thanks to illegal immigrants, isnt that cheating? Is it truly giving an advantage to the Republicans? No its evening out the playing field. Dems support and encourage illegal immigration and giving benefits to illegal immigrants because it gets them political power. Its cheating and they do it under the guise of humanitarianism while also voting down foreign aid that would work to help make mexico better. It's a despicable form of cheating. Dont get it confused.

More judges like Troiano should be under more scrutiny and be barred or jailed, when they don't abide by the letter of the law. Affluenza plea and pay offs didn't work this time, huh? And I don't believe he was getting death threats either, he stepped down because the victims family wasn't poor, and they had power themselves, and they wasn't having it. But at the end of the day, blessings goes out to the strength of this young lady and family for the journey they've been forced to set forth.

The biggest factor here that matters is if it was really rape, was the girl aware of what happened? Drinking to excess doesn't make women automatically innocent and men automatically guilty. If they are both intoxicated it is much more complicated. Or if they were drugged to be more vulnerable than they were aware of. etc. GTFO with all that about his family and grades, none of that should be relevant with the exception maybe of judging character for the severity of his punishment.

Former 2000 Census enumerator here. There's another important reason that the census needs to be as accurate as possible: Emergency Services. In case of natural disasters, your local community needs an accurate head count. Earthquakes and tornadoes don't care how you got here. Your community also gets funding for EMS equipment and staffing. If your zone needs four more firefighters or a new ladder truck to successfully protect the community, an inaccurate account may prevent that.

I had a friend who worked for the Census. There was an unreasonably large percentage of people who refused to open their doors for her because they thought that question WAS on the form. She had to explain that it wasnt and still, some of those people wouldnt give in. I imagine that once this question actually IS added, these people are just going to ignore census workers entirely, and not participate. It does more harm than good.
