I'm Going To Get In Trouble For This One. Charlie D'Amelio, Daniel Sloss, Pandemic, Weinstein & Jarl: I think people are voting for Biden because he's seen as the safe democratic choice. After years of turbulent presidential behavior, Sanders is looking like more of the same, just in the opposite direction. He's set on greatly changing the US government and its laws, which Trump also said in his time, and I think people are just fed up with not knowing what to expect every time the president speaks. I've no doubt that Sanders is the better choice for the american health and labor departments, but the older generation just wants a period of peace. The biggest upset the US risks with Biden is him dying from old age before his term is over.

Bernie continues to lead in polls with people under 50, if that's what you mean by the young people, but it's those people who have had the hardest time getting to vote. Efforts of voter suppression continue in this cycle, with voting locations in younger and poorer districts not being equipped to deal with the number of people that need to cast their ballots. Long, multiple hour wait lines outside in the cold, and if it came to running out of time, those who still have jobs to get to would be the ones stepping out of line if they had their shift or other responsibilities to get to. I also look forward to the one-on-one debates. They'll help make clear who is more fit to run against Trump.

As a gen z voter from canada i can say how hard it is to motivate my self to vote. For 1 we are talked down too and treated like idiots by boomers and older generations so it shuts us down. 2 we dont have time to vote as we are stuck with over demanding jobs and alot of us dont get the luxury of leaving our shift for 15 minutes to go vote cause we cant risk it. 3 were terrified of being kicked out of our homes if we vote against our families values (i personally dont have that issue but i know people who have) and its frustrating even more so in America.

Honestly it takes a few elections for people to get used to the process. I think in part that explains why there is growing turn out age group to age group. I know personally checking polling locations can be frustrating and requires going to outdated websites with improper map locations. My previous polling place was in the neighborhood and I could walk there but my current one would have been a disaster if I didnt vote in a less important election. So Im ready to vote not that my state will matter at this point.

In Denmark the Corona virus has resulted in all universities temperarily closing, as well as a social and religious gathering being told to do the same and all non-critical public workers also being sent home -- all for at least the next two weeks. We've also been told not to gather in crowds of more than 100 at a time. I'm not too worried about myself, but rather the implications something like this can have on, for instance, the economy.

TLDR: WE ARE INFECTED IN UTAH. The Officials ARE lying on the numbers. Here in Utah, a positive couple held in Murray Utah, tested negative and were allowed to return home. They went from NORTH TO SOUTH across the state. He know turned on another test and its positive. NOW they are self quarantined, here in St. George, Utah. The amount of people they had contact with is disgusting. This has made NO headlines except local. ugh

The only group I will blame if Bernie doesn't get the nomination is my age group, like seriously get out there, it's our future. If the virus is the thing scaring you, stop being dumb, our age group is the most likely to handle it with ease. The only excuse I would except would be if your forced to work and even then many states do early voting, so grow up and stop letting people will be dead soon decide your future

The youth vote isn't actually down (it's up or flat compared with 2016. What's new and what everyone is ignoring: there is a huge spike amongst white suburban (former Republican voters. The vote that's actually down: old Black voters. In SC, down 7-10 percent. These narratives are being manufactured. Biden definitely is winning. But no one is paying attention to who is really voting. It's White Republicans.

As a college student who lives 8 hours away from home, I find the coronavirus to be a lot more annoying than deadly. I hope they don't convert my classes to online and force me to go back home. I love it here, and as much as I love my parents and siblings, I do like college life. It would especially bad for me considering I suck at retaining information online classes in general.

I'm not sure if comparing 2016 to 2020 is a good idea. Bernie was against Hillary, a woman who many disliked for many years for good reason. I imagine a lot of the support for him was due to that, but you also have people more informed of what he is about and seeing recent changes under Trump, makings you wonder if, perhaps, his supporters switched to Trump supporters.
