Why People Are Freaking Out On Corinna Kopf & Avani, Wisconsin's Ridiculous Messy Primary, & More Nathaniel: James Charles has a point, the bloody, beaten up face has been an aesthetic for a while. Whether youre comfortable with it or not, he is probably not the one to go after in order to enact that kind of change. And I would argue that kind of change isnt necessary. As somebody with OCD, I can relate to these people being set off by images or even words that are unrelated to the topic at hand. Often you think that avoiding triggers is the best way to cope with mental illness, when, in reality, some of the best ways to learn to handle these types of situations is through exposure response therapy. If something sets you off, take yourself out of your own head. Look at what the trigger is, and why it affects you the way it does. Understand how and why your brain works the way it does is one of the best ways to shut down those thought processes when they seem far out of your control. If youre in the street, or at a movie, or literally anywhere in public and someone gets hit, are we to expect the perpetrators are guilty of triggering domestic violence survivors as well? Every time there is a character in a movie with a violent spouse, should the movie be rewritten? Or completely tossed in the trash. The answer to these questions are obviously NO. If our entire society had to mindful of every single individuals triggers, than there would be nothing mindful left.

I voted this morning, at the only location in my city. It was pretty busy already, and they were pretty unprepared. No clear direction on where to go for your district, only 3 sets of makers for 6 ft distancing inside the building but nothing beyond that, pens were in various places for people to grab when they came in or walked by, no hand sanitizer available (I brought my own though, only 2 locations to register to vote (with only one worker at each location, the workers had one set of gloves and masks (but were touching everyone's IDs. If you requested an absentee ballot, and you did not receive it yet, you were unable to go in person to vote. Which means hundreds if not thousands of people won't be able to cast their ballot, unless it came in the mail today, and they can drop it off in time. Not to mention, you need a witness for the absentee ballot, and anyone who is sick, is a liability to others. This is honestly such a cluster. The fact that SCOTUS is remotely voting on cases for their safety, but are voting in a 5-4 majority for other people to go vote in person, is just a smack in the face.

I think that it might be safe to call what's going on in Wisconsin a subversion of democracy, but I don't think that democrats have the right to complain. Until democrats stop supporting illegal immigration they shouldn't complain about stuff like this. Holding an election during a pandemic is pretty bad for democracy, but flooding the country with people that are financially motivated to vote for you is even worse. The difference between those two things is on par with the difference between taking the padding out of your boxing gloves before a boxing match and using a gun in a boxing match.

I think the mugshot trend was a bit silly. Tiktok (from my understanding) is mostly young people. Young people will dress up, do whats trendy, be extreme. You'll find that on any social media. However, I understand backlash from other communities that aren't aware of the trend. A seemingly worrisome image. especially if they don't call out that it was makeup. can cause people to be upset. So for me it's not so much against people putting on different looks for fun and working on that skill, but understand that the topic might not be suitable to where you're posting.

Today is even more frustrating because I wish we had answers on how to fix the problems instead of just seeing the problems. it absolutely breaks my heart what is happening in the country right now and the fact that it's disproportionately impacting minorities is disturbing at best. I just wish we could DO something. (note: i have seen pop in ad's on your last several videos so it looks like YT take on COVID is working in your favor for the time being, thank you for fighting the good fight and spreading news and awareness)Love and Light.

People like Lorrane make me scarred to leave my house or even go out side these days. Not for the reason you'd think though. I have tourettes syndrome and my tic is a cough. I keep hearing these stories and I fear that because of them and my tourettes, people will think I'm sick or faking being sick and will arrest me. My dad's friend had some extra face masks so when I have to go outside for doctors appointments and stuff, I don't have to worry as much. I still fear that someone will get the wrong idea however and call the cops on me.

Yeah man, as soon as I saw that James Charles photo I thought holy crap that's so cool im gonna go beat my girlfriendNo, this is over blown by people who are so bored in their house they have nothing better to do than morally grandstand over pointless shit. Over 3 years ago my AP art teacher from highschool showed us an art piece he did with similar makeup and a fake mugshot with other artistic elements added. No one looked at it and thought wow crime is cool. This just loops back to media causing violence when it doesn't.

The mugshot trend certainly isnt something I find interesting, but the people crying about it need to get a grip. Yes, you went through something horrible, but in no way were these people making light of that. Its not like the caption was LOL look at me after my partner whooped my ass Its literally just makeup. Unless all action movies and video games where people get injured also trigger you, then you have no leg to stand on. Even then, you have no right to demean someone for putting in makeup. They need to grow up.

Here's what I think is going on with the conspiracy theorists - I think they're scared. They'd rather find a reason to be ANGRY than be AFRAID of something they can't understand. It happens with school shootings too, people want to believe all these dead kids who were murdered in their school are actually crisis actors and it's a government conspiracy because it's easier to accept than to fear for the lives of their own children. I think it's like a fight-or-flight response.

every now and then i forget why i hate people but then i scroll through a comment section like this and i'm quickly reminded. after scrolling through hundreds of comments, i have found only TWO comments so far that even bother to mention what is a deeply troubling issue. and out of the comments i do find, one of them is implying that it's pretty much black people's fault for dying at disproportionate rates. no concern, no empathy, just blame. i hate people.
