The ridiculous truth about Adam Driver being canceled, Tiktok exposes ulta & oil problem explained Matthew: Not a huge fan of Driver in Star Wars, but he's def a talented actor (as a SW fan I had to add that. I wonder if giving a voice to these idiots who make these very clearly irrational claims, about Driver and his views, somehow validates these claims? You are giving them a mode/medium of spreading, so to speak. You purposely avoid showing and naming people that do mass shootings (as an example, maybe time to do something similar to these trolls? I guess it'd be hard to discuss this stuff without discussing it. i don't know. Keep up the good work and you and the fam stay safe.

I'm a Muslim and I disagree with the entirety of the #(insert name)iscancelledparty in general. we don't need to go after anyone's reputation and lively hood based on a remark or statement. driver does not seem to be racist nor Islamaphobic (based on what he has said. it's a stretch to call someone Islamaphobic based on his motivations against 9/11. 9/11 is the pinnacle of un-Islamic behavior. killing innocent souls, terrorizing the people, destroying property all does not represent the mainstream orthodox values of the 2 billion Muslims around the world. If he hates the assholes behind 9/11, I hate them two. If he wanted to fight against whoever was behind that tragedy, I wish to fight them too. There's a ton of hate for Muslims and a lot of people trying to tell us they know more of our values then we do our own, that someone who goes against what is considered the foundation of our religion is, in fact, the true representative of Islam. And to my Muslim brothers and sisters, making assumptions/unsubstantiated claims such as these are defamatory in nature and even if it is legal under free speech, ruining someone's reputation is indeed a great sin and goes against what Mohammed PBUH clearly mentions, regardless of if they are a celebrity or not, We Are Better Than This.

The thing with oil is that who you bail out - and why - matters. The Alberta government gave 1. 6 billion Canadian dollars to TC to try to get Keystone XL off the ground again, only for it to immediately be mired in legal troubles again. This isn t surprising; if you talk to anyone in the industry, they ve known KXL has been dead for years, and now the company s received money for really nothing. Realistically, bailouts for the companies aren t as critical as for the workers in O&G who re being screwed here, especially bc most of these companies are managed surprisingly poorly and don t invest safely; beyond that, if they collapse, it s not like no one will extract oil going forward. There are constantly new O&G companies and the demand will not go away. Instead of investing that money in an industry that s so volatile and over which we clearly have relatively little control, we should be investing the bailouts in safer industries that can help transition the economy out of the boom-bust oil cycle that ruins economies, communities, and lives, as well as investing it in the workers who are being hurt by the low prices.

As an EU citizen I'm definitely shocked by that make up story - but not for the reason ppl in the US are shocked. I just can't believe, that in your country it's even possible and legal to return used stuff XD Like what the hell, just ban returning of used products on federal level, voila, problem solved. Here in EU you can only use intact sealed/wrapped products and with some types of products even then you can't return them. Just ban that ridiculous idea of being able to return everything, even things that will have to be destroyed, so people won't get money for literally wasting products. In EU you have to think twice BEFORE buying something, because if you use it, there's no going back and you pay for wasting stuff. The fact that in the US you can just buy some pallet with the intent to play with it for couple days and than returning it, is just unreal to me.

The dems are trying to spin the Presidents words, again, into something totally different from what he said. The suspension of immigration has nothing to do with the spread of the virus, it is to allow American citizens a chance to get back to work, or find new jobs for those who's industry won't be recovering, without having to compete with foreign workers flooding into America looking to find jobs because their countries are going through the same thing and they think coming to America will be a faster recovery. Putting American citizens first isn't a bad thing, though the dems would like you to believe it is. In all the first responder training you might ever take, the first lesson they teach, every time, is to take care of yourself first, because if you're not whole, you can't help others that need you.

What if I told you that business investments have risks and that includes the oil industry. You don t get to run the most profitable industry in the world and one for a few months it s not the most profitable industry in the world you get to take the money out of the pockets of hard-working people. Even if oil continues to go down, They will still be fine in the end. They should do what they ve been telling every citizen to do and that is to have an emergency fund set aside for a rainy day in case of emergency. Don t bail out the industries that are destroying the planet and have absolutely no plan to stop that. They are even discussing dumping barrels of oil into the oceans to raise the price up. Unbelievable.

I used to work at a LEGO retail store. I was shocked to discover how much product gets damaged out there. Thankfully, the bricks are shipped to be recycled into stuff like coat hangers, but we would ship literally pounds of bricks off every month. Sometimes it was bricks that had fallen on the floor, sometimes it was a returned set, other times it was simply overstock. I really broke my heart, especially considering how expensive LEGO is. The a few months after I left I learned that LEGO had started this initiative for people to mail in their old bricks to be sanitized and donated to elementary schools, and I was thinking, Why don t they source it from their own stores?

I TOTALLY agree w/the company destroying OPENED products. What woman would buy panties that have been worn by another woman, then returned to the store? About the immigration--my wife is from another country and is now a US citizen. We are trying to get her parents here. We have had many delays and now this Covid crap which has delayed it on both ends. I understand not wanting to bring in new ppl(legally. But, I find nothing wrong with still bringing in LEGAL immigrants, but making them wait in a quarantine area for a couple of wks so they won't bring in more Covid(or any other diseases for that matter.

When i worked at canadian tire and whenever somebody returned a big tool or TV or something it was our job to destroy it and throw it in the compactor and the compactor was locked at Night so people couldn t come and take the tossed out tools and TVs and stuff. Personally I don t want products that other people had that got returned and put back on shelves because I don t know what they did with it between the time of them buying it and returning it. Destroying returns products is a common thing because it s cheaper for the manufacture to just send a new one then to get that one sent back.

Kind of related to the Ulta story: if you want to make a big difference for donations to shelters, DONATE THE LITTLE HOTEL SHAMPOOS. Collect them when and if you travel, hide them in your luggage, etc, so housekeeping will give you more. Shelters LOVE those little soaps, shampoos, and conditioners because they can be handed out without any waste or risk of cross-contamination, and that they're basically perfect for the shelter's needs. If you don't travel and want to donate anyway? Buy travel sized stuff from Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc. and donate those.
