How come that every time someone tells about the history and archeology of Africa, the ugly racists starts to sing their lies? What's the matter with you people? You are mostly some ignorant mouthbreathers anyway. Lost in the racist writings where they use each other as sources and echochambers. You have no interrest in dna and real archeology because it will destroy your bigot ideas. My mom told me it was Shona people going about building. They build many and settled as villages. She was a Shona and my grand grandparents told me so. They said white people saw us here and say we have discovered. That's why we must keep on doing story tell we call ngano every night old people seat to tell us history. This source is not true ok. My dad was a Ndebele from Mzilikazi going down to Tshaka tribe. I have a Khoisan blood because of my other grandfather.

The Bantu expansion reminds me a lot of the Indo-European expansion where semi nomadic but relatively developed people expand and replace hunter gatherer groups throughout most of a continent. Indo european tribes later settled and developed empires taking from existing cultures they settled in. Maybe if Africa was left alone or the Bantu expansion happened some 1000 years earlier Africa too would have civilizations like Rome and China.

So the word city have no longer any meaning.
We have a lot of similar places in Europe, but we would never dream about calling this villages for cities.
That is why for example the Romans said clearly that there was no cities in England when they came there.
But there was a lot of fortified villages like the so-called African cities. lol

I must say that's a lie sir I knew of this from second grade learned in a American school taught me from teachers whiling to hit children! Of course no longer can a matron hit you but when they did they did shame they didn't keep records, I learned about this in the 80 s man so you're wrong it's been taught

It amazes me every time we are amazed and astonished that Sub Saharan Africa was a thriving and civilised place with great civilisation going back as far as Europe or Asia or America ( different maybe but no less grand ) I am still expecting the mythical Kalaharin city to be found soon

This kind of history should have been taught in schools. However, a lot of us know why it wasnt. I am not surprised about the GOLD being stolen. It was interesting to hear how the Europeans didnt want to give AFRICAN ANCESTORS credit for building the stone artifacts.

The history of Great Zimbabwe is inspiring! Am sure there are many such great stories in Sub-Saharan Africa lost in oral tradition that has not been documented. It is time for historians and scientists to regroup these great histories.
