I have certain people in my life who is just selfish and always point out my mistake. I never got any positive reviews from those certain people. I can't even cut them out of my life since they are always meeting me and I can't ignore them for so long. Their presence are just too negative for me. They act as if they are the directors of the situation.
I am done with life man. But some people who are positive always told me that I can improve the situation by myself and not to care about others. It has been better over the years. Same people who are selfish are still in my life but I do not share anything with them.
They think that they know me but they actually don't know me. Whenever I am planning to buy something and accidentally told them, one of them would accompany me on the pretext of going somewhere and then when I turn to go in the shop, they come too, behind me.
I am always going to stay fake with them as long as I could until I find a way to cut them completely.
Maybe I need to get a job from another country where they would not be able to easily find me.

My sister is both selfish and sensitive (only to herself) So when you try to ask her to not be so selfish, she cries. And the worst part? She just moved in next door to me. I tried to set healthy boundaries by saying point black There will be no pop-overs. And she cried. She claims I owe her because I Talked (her) into moving there. Um, what? I tried to help her because she was having a hard time in life, so I found her an apartment. And when she seemed like she might not be a good fit for this area, I actually tried to talk her OUT of moving here. Now shes claiming that I owe her blah blah blah. I think getting her an apartment, a parking spot, letting her stay in my house for a week, feeding her, etc is more than enough. Its time for her to stop assuming Im going to coddle her. Shes older than me! Im not going to let her destroy my life anymore. She needs to figure this stuff out and be less selfish

The one who are too well-protected never think of others. In another word, they are selfish. They habitually treat small things that are not worth mentioning to outsiders as big storms they have experienced, and then tell everyone in the posture of successful people that they are the one who experienced big storms, their approach is correct. Sometimes even if they are clearly aware that their actions are incorrect, they will persuade themselves not to shake their ideas. They are good at standing on the commanding heights they understand and transmit their thoughts to people in their own way, but they do not know that the commanding heights they understand are the abyss. This habit of thinking can be traced back to the excessive asylum from family and colleagues in childhood. In the wrong and correct choices, if the family does not give timely corrections, the seeds of this thinking will be planted.

Hi I have a co sister constantly annoying me. Whatever i talk she will annoy me and give an answer but in a smiley way, so that I cannot understand or reply back then and there. But later when I realize i will feel tensed. But things crossed all the limits i become a bad example because of her, i shouted in fight and got all my good images broken down. She is happy now. Imposing herself as good person to everyone and telling things at my back. She became good person in front of the family and I'm just in the trap. She was the one who induced everything and created problems in the family. She is calm now and am seriously injured in heart because of her. At times i really want to punch her in face for all the tricks she played and still playing. But my only worry is i can't think like her and deal with her.

This is how I dealt with a friend who was selfish:
It was a fresh year of school and I was eager to meet new people. I met a girl and we became instantly friends. We both were quite unsocial and introverted.
Things seemed good in the beginning, but later I gradually noticed her weird behaviours. She was being mean and she always told me that she knew me better and expects me to be around her more and be supportive(actually, I always cared for her but she was very rude and selfish)
She started questioning my dreams and never encouraged me. There were times when she blamed me for not spending much time because i studied more. Even i apologized many times.
One fine day. I was done with her. I just blocked her and never really talked to her later

what can i say, they are always selfish and in addition also a great liar. when pointed out, it begins to lie that its not selfish its becoz of this and that. And its my sister.
I can still listen to someone talking about itself and i dont think thats selfish, but i call it selfish when he/she doesnt listens to others story but expects others to listen to theirs. My sister like to take others advantage but doesnt like to lend others a bit. And she makes rule to not do something but she always does that. And also the rules are for her advantage, I havent talked to her for three months. I have told her not to talk to me, feels a bit bad but feels great too.

A partner (going to cut her off soon) has been v steady and easy going with her friends. For her graduation trip, she tried to go with friends then when it was rejected, I tried to plan with her but she gave numerous excuses, which deterred me from saying anymore. Then, her friends changed a version of it and then she nodded her head steadily like a slave. I feel that it's all about them. What's worse, she previously forgot about an appointment we had and still had the decency to ask me to split the time because she really wants to spend time with friends. Just makes me wanna banish the person since she's just a young, incorporate and immature soul.

Is it just me or does it seem like the most happiest people are the most selfish annoying loser type of people? I want to know if there's anybody else to that I see it. And the selfless people are invisible and don't matter to anybody, that's how I felt most of my life, I said I felt like invisible and that nobody cares about how I feel in life but they care about how all the selfish narcissistic types of people are. So it leaves me feeling with this sort of ugly feeling where the most selfish people are the most happiest in the most selfless people are the most hurt and lonely and sad

All my tuition mates stay engrossed in their mobile phones in breaks. But I don't have a phone. And my parents intentionally hurt me by saying I won't get one until another 7-10 years. I'm 16.
Besides, they are always disbelievers. They believe I will be spoilt if I have a phone. they think I don't need a phone even in college, it's just a silly demand.
I'm feeling so damn frustrated that here I am sharing my story. It is really affecting me badly. please help. Both my parents are toxicly selfish.

Being in a relationship with a selfish person really takes a toll on your self worth. I felt so depressed and hated myself. Every inconvenience to her felt like my mistake and I barely got time for myself. I was constantly frustrated, angry or sad but blamed myself for it. Self love and meditation really got me through. Breaking up was the most important decision I made. Now I'm slowly building up my self esteem by doing what I love and focussing on my health and career.

My step son is constantly unavailable, unless of course there's food being cooked. Then he's there, peeking to see how soon it will be ready. But asking him to come and watch it being prepared, or to help? Forget it. He doesn't have time. But when you do all the prep, he's got all the time in the world to eat it. It really irks me. I hate when they eat and get up and leave their plate for Mom to clear. As if she's their personal slave. I think it is time to set boundaries.

Im at my wits end with my childrens father. Hes always been a very uncaring person. But last December he ended up with a brain tumor and needed immediate brain surgery. You would think this would put a new perspective on life for him. Nope hes even worse than ever and I dont want to do this anymore. I dont know what I ever saw in this relationship, I guess I thought he would change. Ive never been so unhappy in my life

It's a tiring cycle to repeatedly help/care for others who never return the favor in any way. It's best to slowly separate yourself from them. I am always there for my brothers if they need something. I was there for my brother when his dog died, I took care of his dog for over a year and bought remedies for the dog. A few years later when my cat is dying, what do I get? Not so much as even a word or smidgeon of support.

I understand perfect well why. These ppl I'm thinking about were the golden child who was told they were always the best. Then I come along, I'm different, and they hate it. They constantly dump their hatred towards me at events. They hate that I don't give all my attention and adoration to them. Best way I deal with them is not pay attention to their achievements, even if it means not eating their food.

When your toxic selfish friend gets upset because she cant bring her bf of 5 mins to my 30th birthday meal where I could only invite 6 because of government rules (I live in the Uk) I told her she was being selfish and decided to cease contact as Im still too upset to talk to her. Shes that friend that uses you till she gets a man and you dont hear from her unless she wants something

There is a difference between selfishness and narcissism. Selfishness deals with desire and wants, taking too much and acting out on your self-interests. Narcissism deals with self admiration and self promotion, loving yourself too much, thinking oneself is better than all. They are somewhat related, but different. I would argue that too much selfishness and narcissism, is evil.

I once had a friend who called me late in the evening on his birthday to start ranting, raving and screaming at me because I hadn't called and wished him a happy birthday. I told him, Your birthday was today? That's nice. I had one three months ago. I then hung up the phone as I was tired of everything being a one-way street with him.

i am dealing with a selfish person now, it feels like that person is making me do things that im like a puppet, at the same time not really helping me with my situation. so its really sad why some care about their own priority over helping others. Just as the saying goes, theres no I in team

Establish reasonable boundaries early. Don't hesitate to call out the Big Blue Elephant in the room. Stand up for yourself at the very moment you see someone with a Hooray for me. Screw you attitude. If you don't, then don't cry when someone decides to run rough shod over you!
