This makes things easier, however I run into a problem.
My best friend is of the opposite gender. We get a lot of shit for it and our friendship causes a lot of tension between me and her significant other just becuase we are best friends and rather close friends.
This shit we get ranges from attempts to sabotage it and people shoving relationship (boyfriend, girlfriend) references into it.
The tensions mean that her boyfriend(s) both current and some previous get insecure and this is despite then knowing me first or me than her or not.
How does a friendship like mine deal with is becuase I and her would love be in our own relationships with other people but how do we minimise the tensions?

One time, My Bestie and I were sitting on her front porch, she had her Cosplay Keyblade, and I had her mom's really nice Lightsaber, and this car kept passing by over and over again, really slowly. So around the third time it came around, I stood up turned on the Lightsaber and charged at the car. It sped up and didn't come back. When I got back to the porch, we ended up talking about how the person was probably a perv for like ten minutes XD

I use to have a friend name Jon Paul we use to be friends not best friends. he likes to judge people and talk down on people. We are two different people with two different hobbies and stuff. He likes Hooters and girls gymnastics he is too old (50) to be doing that and he has a gambling addiction too. It is sad.
I turned him down cause I could not stand the way he talks about women's soccer, he has no interest in playing bowling which I like.

What I do to make friends or best friends is I frequently have contact with them play games joke around and other things, just by talking to someone in 1 day about how they are feeling or what they like can really help you know about the other person your talking to, then you can do things that the other likes so he/she thinks that they can trust you in situations they normally dont talk about them theres your best friend

One time I got in trouble with my mom, so I had to come straight home every day and couldn't use any devices, and couldn't have any friends over, so my best friend snuck over every single day and he hung out with me until I wasn't in trouble anymore, but then eventually his dad found out and he got in trouble to so I did the same exact thing he did for me.
