I graduated High School in 1972 so it was a year of great change and challenge for me. I continue to venture into photography and became a freelance photographer and also got my second flying license. In following years I completed my certifications and became an airline pilot. I was a professional pilot for 34 years and and airline pilot for 29. 5 until my retirement in 2014. Over 26, 000 hrs of total flight time and over 21, 000 hours as a Captain on the DHC-8 for Piedmont Airlines.

As a Phillies fan I wish that story about Greg Luzinski was accurate but the Liberty Bell they showed in the clip was not where it was when he hit it because the one they show on the clip is about seven hundred feet away and about two hundred feet higher then where he hit it. And Willie Stargel hit one even further at the Vet and they put a yellow star on the seat it hit. I've sat in it before and I couldn't believe he hit it that far.

I celebrated my 13th birthday in 1972, so it was when I came of age, which was a great feeling.
I remember my dad showing me the front page of the NY Times and the news of the Andes crash survivors' hike to civilization, and talking about how incredible that was.
9: 06 Greg Luzinski's last name is pronounced Loo-ZIN-ski. not Loo-SKIN-ski.

Its funny because I came to see this year because Captain America woke up 50 years after being frozen to see how different it would have been for him in 2022. Hed ask how Nixon was wed have to tell him he was away so did John Lennon. Video games are still around in a new form. Hed see the way people dress today and be like, what?

Ralph Baer was actually the inventor of Pong. He had created the game when he had worked at Magnavox and claimed that Bushnell saw it at a Magnavox dealership before him and Al Alcorn created Pong. There was a lawsuit that Bushnell and Atari settled out of court, paying royalties to Magnavox.

The C110 Skyline better known as Kenmeri GT-R was released in 1972 and it did had short production run which was due to oil crisis and the C110 was the first GT-R to include the now signature quad circle rear tail lights which have become signature feature Skyline and GT-R models.

Love this! But you forgot to mention the most important thing of 72. The love of my life was reborn on December 09 in the south side of Chicago. She was and still is the most beautiful baby girl of 72 with the perfect round buns and the most hair of all the babies from 1972.

Ahh, the year I would turn 10. I didn't know that all of the things that were happening this year. Gee, and I thought that the worst two things that happenend that year was the fact that Laugh In cancelled and that summer I went to Summer camp.

1972, the year they screwed over the Ford Mustang. Dodge Challengers, Chargers and Chevy Corvettes got major makeovers too, not in a great way, Trans Am and Camaro started taking over as the top muscle cars starting in 1972.

It's looking like the three men in the early 60's did successfully escape Alcatraz after all, survived and were never apprehended. It's up for debate, but that's where the evidence is leaning, as of this post.

Time screams along in 'slow motion' in the present. '72 seems like the day before yesterday to me today. How does every slow day of the moment end up being sent to the past with the speed of lightning?

SO much happened that year! Best thing? -The Miami Dolphins undefeated season. The worst? -The killing of the isreali athletes in Munich. And i love this series, but you never mentioned Mark Spitz!

Did you actually call Three Dog Night a psychedelic pop group? There was nothing psychedelic about them? Have you ever listen to even one of their goddamn songs? Who researches these things
reply

Geez. I remember a lot of these. Hard to believe they were 50 years ago. Doesn't seem that long. Of course, when you realize you've been out of high school for 40 years, it seems right, too.

The immaculate reception was unable to be witnessed by fans in Pittsburgh unless you were at the game since the NFL did not allow games to be broadcast in the market it was being played in
